Buffet flavor was good, including a spicy option. View on the lake nice. Many tourists however and if you're not early (like us) the atmosphere might feel completely different & crowded. 1050lkr per person for the buffet, which I think is ok for the ok quality of food we ate there.

Our tour guide took our group here for lunch and it was disgusting. The buffet was half empty and cold and cost 1000 rupees, so we ordered a la carte. Our meals came from the buffet and were stone cold and tasted awful. The service is terrible and the staff are very unhappy. The view is nice though the windows... More

Today we had lunch The Cagjan Resturant, it offered over priced poor Sri Lankan food, this is our second trip to Sri Lanka in the last couple of years this is by far the worse meal we have had, after our visit to Anuradhapura our driver took us here, for a lunch with 'nice view' there was lake in the... The restaurant is located on a nice place and is built in a beautiful, Englisch-looking way. The food was okay but the service was most regretful. We had a choppy boy who didn't show any other emoticon than being bored. We both had a rice and curry as meal which would have been included with a desert. When we finished... More

We accidently happened to go there for lunch. It was a good meal with a beautiful view overlooking the Nuwara Lake and the Mihintale Stupa. Excellent place to have a buffet meal with a good spread of choices.

Average food, fantastic view. Suitable for a quick stop, but not a culinary experience. The washroom was not too dirty, sometimes this can be happy :).

Seeing the tripadvisor reviews we had some trepidation coming here. But we were assured by our hotel guide (Jetwing Vil Uyana) that it was nice enough. And a number of the bad reviews seemed focused on it being too expensive so food could have been OK. We looked at the buffet - it was tired and all the burners were... More

If you want VERY overpriced $10usd/person tasteless bain-marie curry, and $4 beers, go here. Then they did not have enough change, so they just made the bill bigger. An absolute tourist ripoff, stay away!

We ate here on our way to Anuradhapura. It seems a little bit tourist trap, lot of buses, guides, tours, waiters in tipical dress. Buffet was 1050 rupies, we didn get it. We ate fried rice with mango chutney and biryani. It was ok. Dont know why, but all restaurants around this zone in Sri Lanka have the same menu,... More
