It's pretty common on TripAdvisor to read that someone thinks a particular establishment is the best in town. In the case of Aguas Calientes, not known for excellence in much except for proximity to Machu Picchu, that would be damnation with faint praise. In our view, the Tree House is better than that: it is a genuinely good restaurant...with the... More

This little place is hidden in the steep streets of town and is well worth the climb. Being made of wood it has the feel of nature and a very nice ambiance with soft music and lighting. Would be great for a romantic date. The menu and food are very well done and they feature an excellent wine and beer... More

Best food we had in Aguas Calientes and best location. Welcoming staff who spoke English. A bit hard to find but worth the effort.

I found this place by perserverance as it is hidden away in a maze of streets and up a slight incline . The walk is worth it as you think you are in a tree house and quite Scandinavian in feel using, as you would expect, lots of wood. Good interesting food, so much so that I went back twice.... More

Good food selection but very expensive. Definitely worth a try if you are a picky eater but expect to pay a lot.

Our dinner was ok - nothing to make me say this is "a stand out" among restaurants here but looking at the past reviews , this ranks among the best. The table next to me sent a meal back -I would say it was undercooked meat. The gentleman then had to call the waitress back and ask that she also... More

Found a tucked away place slightly off the beaten path with a healthy menu, taste to go along with it and friendly, attentive service. I had the chicken skewers with vegetables and a curry coconut sauce that was amazing.

We stayed in the hotel right next to this restaurant (Rupa Wasi), so we at breakfast here every morning. We were never disappointed eating here. They also offer sacked lunches to take to Machu Picchu (including vegetarian and gluten-free options).

Thank Sydni H
