Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were looking for a place to have lunch and wanted to decide between this place and another right next to it. At Natural there was a German (we’re also German) welcoming us and showing us the menu, telling us that we would get 10%...off all prices (price range 180-280 Cordobas). He seemed very friendly so we decided to stay there. It was nice talking to him and he gave us nice advice. The food took a little time but was really delicious! BUT... we ordered smoothies and the guy asked us if we wanted some milk in it (we didn’t have the menu anymore and he pretended like it was just a free add on). As we got the check there was no 10% discount. The German man just sat down next to us saying: „So this is without the discount I promised you.“ and just made us pay. Also the shake cost 20 Cordobas more each and when I asked why, he just said that we have added milk. We were so shocked by this rude behavior. We couldn’t really say anything. We paid 620 Cordobas for two (more simple but delicious) plates and two one-fruit-smoothies!!!! That’s just SUPER EXPENSIVE. Never trust them. As many before said: they try to overcharge you.More

We only called in for some cold drinks after sitting on the beach. The fruit smoothies were awful. We were unable to drink them, it’s such a shame as it’s a really nice setting.

Went here for lunch after getting soaked in the run and also having a minor scooter accident. The owner was absolutely lovely and had a great chat with me in Spanish for ages. She made me feel very welcome and attentive. The smoothie was delicious....The food was very good too, not out of the world, but great going vegetarian for a change. The owner even let me wander down the beach and enjoy myself before coming back to pay (also I needed smaller change haha)More

Went here for breakfast after a quite nice dinner there a few nights before. Coffee was terrible, we asked for one a bit stronger and she said no, this is how you drink it in Nicaragua. I've been in Nicaragua for over a month and...I've never had such watery coffee. Our food was cold, my fruit off and the "yoghurt" (which they initially forgot to provide me with, but did on repeated request) was actually just curdled milk with some oats in it. When I asked about it she said it was because "there are no cows in ometepe and in Nicaragua they water it down". I would certainly avoid this place, poor food and aggressive owner.More

Worst food poisoning I’ve ever had. Place looked filthy, partly because they are still renovating it. People were friendly though and we could see the potential of the place. Had stir fry vegetables, a coffee and a smoothie. Didn’t like it and within a few...hours I got really really sick. So really recommend you not to eat at this place.More

Got dropped off on a bus at 9pm with no place to stay and hungry. Got a big plate of homemade vegetarian food. After eating the owner kindly allowed me to crash on their hammock. Since then I have been chilling with them here. Great...food, good wifi and nice space for getting work done on my computer I would highly recommend Natural especially if you are vegetarian. Furthermore, it is nice to eat at a place where I am supporting the locals instead of a foreigner.More

Really nice location at the beachfront. Reservation not necessary as there were more dogs than customers in the restaurant. The waiter seems to the son of the owner and is still moving on his very steep learning curve. Not all items from the menu are...always available - like for instance the batidos / jugos - despite plenty of fruits are growing around the corner ... I made a conservative choice and took the homemade stew - not really bad but far from deserving the recommendation at the top of the menu. I think this place needs a revamp - with all the delicious products of this wonderful island you could create tasty vegetarian dishes ...More

The place is beautifully located by the beach with a nice view of Maderas... a great place to sit and soak up the views. However, as many of the other reviews have said... don’t bother with the food. Way overpriced as it’s a gringo joint...and below average in quality and flavor because what do gringos care about paying 5x the price for a stew that can be found in a local comedor. Stop here for a drink at most.More

After a massive hike to the view point of the dormant volcano we stopped at this little beauty for lunch. I had the stew and an iced latte both of which were fantastic. There was only one waitress working and was making all the drinks...as well however didn't leave anyone waiting even though there was quite a few groups walk in. It was a great place to sit by the beach and have a wholesome meal! Definitely amazing and worth the visit!More

We had lunch here yesterday and had the stew of the day with fresh homemade bread. As the bread had green mold on it I dont think it was freshly made. This made me think how fresh the daily stew was and couldnt enjoy it...anymore. Beers are cold. Service slow...More

I was looking forward to something different, having been in Nicaragua for about 5 weeks now. The "stew of the day", one of the cheaper things on the menu at 150 Cordobas, was a boring, watery bean soup. I could have found that in a...comedor in most parts of the country for one quarter of the price. The worst part, though, was that the bread, which was listed as "homemade" and "wholemeal" was the same pasty white bread commonly found everywhere in Nicaragua.More

This is a very honest review and it pains me to post it. We had dinner here, the meal was bland, not very good. Way oversalted. I sincerely believe they tried their best. The women who cooked and served us were lovely. The price was...OK. But the local guy (owner or manager?) kicked the dog twice in front of us, he appeared intoxicated. The dog cried out in pain.. Ironic, in a vegetarian place.. ? Will not return.More
