When we called about their hours of opening, they said until 8 p.m. Also they said it would be their last day as a restaurant. They would open again soon as a 'bistro'? When we got there at 7.30 they said they were out of...food for today.More

We discovered the place because we stayed at Villa Scenns right next doors. We came back several times during our stay in Sangkhla Buri, as it is a most welcoming place with excellent food options. If you would like to have some Western dessert, try...ember Roty or Affogato.More

The owner is gentle and speaks conversational English. The place is well decorated with old photo frames, books, plants and feels like home. I like the varieties on their menu (in English), they have both Thai and Western selections and even pancakes for dinner! I...always order stir fry chicken cashewnuts with rice whenever I visit, it taste so natural and simple. My friends just love the vegetarian curry massaman. Great choice of drinks and desserts too. I would highly recommended this place.More

Few tables but I can feel the heart in my food and service. We had a nice dinner here, the food was so fresh and well prepared, the taste was also great, especially Thai dishes.

We stumbled across the delightful Chuen Jai House by chance. Trip Advisor's Sangkhlaburi eating options are minimal, to say the least, and we had grown tired of the lack of warmth from the staff at P Guesthouse, where we were staying, and wandered down the...road in search of other places. Turn right out of P Guesthouse, then first left and first right and, within 5 minutes you'll spot the tiny café/shop of Chuen Jai. It's a simple guesthouse itself, but we stopped by for a drink initially, and were so charmed by the kind, gentle family that run it that we returned for dinner. There are only 4 tiny tables, and we were the only diners, but we had a memorable meal from the full menu of super fresh Thai food, cooked with evident love and care, and served with genuine smiles. And low prices too. A peach of a place.More
