This Thai cooking class was great! Food was amazing and Oy was the best host :) We got to pick our own dishes to make at home

We did this class today and were quite disappointed with it, very little discussion or information given on Thai cuisine, just straight on the bikes then into prepping. Felt the chef was disinterested and I imagine there are better courses to do on the island.

As we both like cooking and fell in love with the thai food we wanted to participate a cooking class during our stay on koh pha ngan. We were so happy that we decided for this class! Oy is a lovely person who explains everything...very well and gives also information about local fruits etc. The food we cooked was delicious and as each of us cooked three dishes and we had one dessert it was so much that we could have the left over as take away. We didn't have to buy food the whole next day ☺ Highly recommend this class!More

We really enjoyed our dining experience. There were two people working - the chef manning the wok in front of the restaurant and another woman acting as server and preparing vegetables for the chef and also salads and other cold food in the back. We...sampled many things on the menu - Satay, Pork dumplings, pineapple shrimp rice, green mango salad, and coconut pudding. We thought the food had more finesse than some of the other spots we had in Thailand. Food and service was great, diners were happy, and there were a few items on the menu that we didn't see elsewhere. Highly recommended in Phangan. Next time, we will do the cooking school as well. The chef was quite friendly.More

Chef Oy was an awesome instructor and one of the most informative people I have met in Thailand. My sister and I were lucky enough to be the only 2 in the class that day and she was extremely personable. We learned SO MUCH. The...class started in the market where she took us around and explained and taught us aboit different ingredients. She had us try some other things at the market as well that piqued our curiosity. We were so lucky to make our own curry paste and take in all the sights and smells and tastes (Oh boy those tastes!) I cooked with chicken and my sister cooked a vegetarian course. The best part was that Chef Oy teaches you not only HOW to cook the dishes, but also how to substitute and adapt tour dishes to where you come from, where ingredients may be difficult to find. We were so full at the end of the course that she said we can come back later to finish our food for dinner, as opposed to eating it cold in our hotel room.. which is awesome!!!! We are going back later to finish and I cannot wait! Truly an amazing experience, and if you love to learn she's the lady!!! Thank you chef Oy!More

Chef Oy does not just explain the Thai way of cooking but also knows what substitutes one can use back home in Europe when you don't find the same spices or vegetables. The class starts at the market where you learn about different local fruits...and vegetables. Very friendly, delicious food.More

We learned to cook delicious thai food! Oys English was good enough to follow her instructions. After cooking we were able to eat our meals. It was so much food, we had to take away some of it. We would definitely recommend the thai cooking...course.More

My friend and I had a lovely day at Panmas Kitchen with chef Oy. She took us to the local market and explained the basics of Thai cooking and showed us different spices and vegetables. We chose 3 main dishes to prepare and I must...say it was the best Thai food we've had in Thailand! Oy is a very sweet and friendly woman and a fantastic chef as well. We'll definitely be back to learn more on our next trip!More

We went there 3 times because of all the good reviews. The place is near Ando Loco, on the main street. First the positive: The Panang Curry is really delcicous. But: All the other dishes we tried (even such simple like Pad Thai) have been...tasteless, somehow if somebody had forgotten to add spices. Sorry, but we come to Thailand more than 20 years right now, spending months there and usually we love Thai food. This was definitly disappointing.More
