We had visited this restaurant many years ago and went there again. After a lot of struggle to find the parking space we entered the restaurant and used their upper AC section for lunch. We ordered Different dosas/ Uttapams for the food and had Faluda,...which was remarkably good. Recommended for south Indian food. Though the service needs some improvement.More

This restaurant is located close to the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception and is a safe bet for Vegetarians. I remember this restaurant from a visit over two decades back, so it is nice to see it still standing. Of course, seems like...they have not had much of a makeover in some years, so the property doesnt have visual appeal. But, the food is good, particularly if you are looking for South Indian vegetarian in a place like Goa!! Prices are reasonable. If you have your own wheels (as I did on this trip!!), then you can mark this place for a meal as a part of your travels for the day.More

I always visit this place in Goa after visiting the Church of Immaculate Conception. It helps to break up the monotony of the constant non veg food that you tend to indulge in. The food and service is excellent.

We have been to Kamat several times during the previous Goa visits but this time I felt that the quality earlier was much better. This is a fast food type of vegetarian restaurant located in the city center. Very convenient location with road side parking....Upon entry you have three options the small place on the left the one on the right next to cashier counter and airconditioned hall upstairs. We ordered plain uttapam, fried rice, daal khichdi and tea. Uttapam was just ok, daal khichdi is much better at nearby Rajdhani hotels Nandan restaurant which remain open at night for 30 minutes more after Kamat is closed and the fried rice was close to getting spoiled as per my observation. Tea was nice though. Just outside the shop there is Panvala and he does good business as well. Because of location and fast turnaround Kamat is always crowded throughout the day. Also on display at the entrance are few brightly colored sweet varieties but Big Mishra nearby is a better choice. There are more & more vegetarian options available now in Panjim & Kamat will have to do something better or different to make a mark for repeat customer visits.More

Kamat's is a restaurant, not a hotel, you may need to check out the hotels in Panaji for your stay......
