I’d looked up prior reviews here for the restaurant and noted a mixed bag, mainly about odd/empty atmosphere now but usually good food. This trend seems to continue. I had wandered past earlier and thought closed, but popping in a little later it was open...but empty and quite dark. Food-wise out of jerk chicken but shrimp quesadillas nicely done ($10). Both staff quite friendly.More

This is a worn down roadside spot and we didn't know what to expect. The fried fish was the best fried fish we had on the island (we had it several times over the week); the batter was crispy and the fish moist and flaky....The chicken curry was tasty and made to order. The staff was lovely and attentive. Not a spot to visit if in a rush.More

Super friendly local place. Delicious coconut shrimp & perfectly spicy jerk chicken, plantains, and chicken fingers for the kids.

Jerk Chicken with rice and Beene was great, delicious! So good we went back for a second meal, will go again. It's a good local experience. Staff were friendly, the beer was icy cold.

What can I say! Nice dinner by the beach, who wants that RIGHT? The options for wine, sprits and beer is phenomenal. The selection of food is to die for. After eating they had live music and people got up and dance. That was so...fun because I can't dance but when you are having fun, ummm who cares. In my book I give this a two thumbs up and I will definitely recommend this to everyone 👍🏻👍🏻More

We are staying at Sundancer Cabana's and on our bus ride back from town we decided to stop for a beer and some french fries. She charged us $3 USD for each local beer & $6 USD for a small platter of french fries. Our...one and only time we will ever stop there. Must be new owners, because it was a rip offMore

Used to go there alot, but it must have changed ownership and/or management. now, it doesn't seem to be doing much business. When i drive by, it's either closed or the doors are open to the porch but I don't see any people.

We didn't know what to expect when we drove up and parked. Walked in and were sat quickly. There are tables "inside" and porch seating. We chose to eating next to the pool table. The decor was a little "interesting" but fun. The Christmas tree,...still fully decorated, threw us off a bit but the place seemed kitschy with a Mom and Pop charm. The menu was in english and the prices were a little higher than our first impressions warranted. The food... Both of our plates came out of a dinner style window with the same kind of presentation. One bit and our concerns blew away with the breeze. It was good, very good. They know how to make food, the rest is second to the food. We ordered beer and finished our plates with another round while playing pool (FREE of CHARGE!). The bill came, which we paid gladly. This would have been a daily hangout if we didn't have so many other places to try. I would/will go back!More

We vacationed in Roatan, in July of 2015. And stayed at the Sandy Bay Cabana's, to which we were plesently surprised to find the Blue Parrot was at the entrance and within a short walking distance to our cabana. Very convienient! The staff was friendly!...Drinks were a little pricey, but that's proably because of it's location. I'd give it an overall good rating. Wasn't "HORRIBLE" by any means. We did just find places in West End, (a short drive away) that we cared more for. Only visited the Blue Parrot once, not because we didn't like it, but more so because we didn't hang out where we were staying enough to do so.More

We were staying in the Sun Dancer neighborhood, and the Blue Parrot is a great option for a meal or drink, being just a short walk away. The jerk chicken was great, and there were options like chicken strips etc. for the kids. My only...issue was that this is a cash only business. There might be obvious signage as to this fact, but if that is so, I missed it. It came as a surprise, and it ate up a big chunk of the cash i had for our trip.More
