The restaurant is located in a beautiful historic building. Unusually for Ecuador, the restaurant lighting is soft and atmospheric and the walls are adorned with lots of interesting artefacts. The food was very good. We both had sea bass with shrimp sauce served with rice and red cabbage. Service was very courteous. Our only reservation was the cost of the... More

the meal was one of the best we had in ecuador. It is located in an older colonial type building adding quite a bit of charm.

Nice position, with a good choice of food, nice friendly waiter, but the service took sooooo long. Anyway not all that many choices in Riobamba to eat in the evening.

I really enjoyed the historic side of the restaurant, a very old building with interesting old pictures where Simon Bolivar wrote a poem inspired by the views of Chimborazo. It's probably good to stop for coffee, however, the food was decent but not memorable. Worth to stop for a coffee and a sandwich, definitely not a burger, they are paper... More

This house if full of history regarding the "Libertador", its a small place near the historic center of the city. We had lunch there, appetizer, soup, main dish and dessert menu for $12. Also, a couple of spanish bullfighters where in town and happened to be eating in the table next to ours!

We had lunch at Delirio at noon on a Sunday when many restaurants were closed. We ordered the set menu ( menu del dia) since we were in a hurry and figured it would be faster. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, we got an entree, soup, a main dish and a wonderful desert, all for... More

Riobamba is not geared for tourists especially dinner on Sundays. We happily stumbled across this little gem. It was even open early for dinner at 5pm. Rogerio, our waiter, provided us with a bright log fire, beautiful candles and very tasty food. I had White Sea bass fried, salad and fries. Husband had grilled chicken, Locros soup- potato and yucca... More

Again (from my perspective) I wish there was just a "Good" choice of ratings. My visit to the El Delirio was okay, whether relating to the food, service or location. Having said that I do think they're slightly living on past reputation rather than pushing to be an excellent option for future guests.

via a patio which looks a little overgrown with stuff and antique furniture (where you can eat on warm summer nights) we entered the main building of this cozy restaurant. As there was an important football match to see , the owner/staff did not notice us directly .. The setting is like a farm full of artifacts, masks on the... More
