The food is good. It offers Chinese and Western food. And the prices are very good for Western food in China. I recommend people to go there with no hesitation.

In spite of being the Hotel's restaurant it was our favourite place to eat during our trip. A good mix of Chinese and Western cuisine. Excellent breakfasts for £3 or so and large bottles of local beer for £1!

We stayed at Yangshuo Retreat for 10 days. This restaurant was like our home. Warm, friendly staff and spacious setting for our three kids to run around. The food was never a disapointment and I especially loved the dragon eggplant!!

No reason to eat anywhere else really, especially when... More

We stayed in an inn located in the same village as the Pomelo Garden restaurant and we ate here several times since the food was so much better (while inexpensive) than in town with some unique dishes on the menu. We particularly liked the 'shrimps in a pastry parcel', the 'Chicken Provencale' and the New-Zealand steaks and Chinese dishes as... More

Ample meat is a rare phenomenon in Chinese cuisine (e.g. the expensive Beijing roasted duck!). This restaurant offer tasty and well prepared dishes.
