Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I still had a few hours before my flight back to Shanghai. As all the other places in the area didn't look to inviting to relax with a drink I read some reviews about this place hoping to find the special beers. I didn't find...the beers but still it was a relaxed place to have a few drinks. They don not serve food.As I was the only guest it was a bit quiet. It is just next to the big hotel on the corner of entrance to ancient street.More

This place is about two blocks away from Old Street, just your average cafe/bar. They don't serve food here, so head to Old Street if you are looking for something to eat.

The Coffee & Bar was a very nice surprise for me in Huangshan city. With its beautiful garden inside, nice atmosphere, classical design and amazingly friendly staff. It's an ideal place to relax with a excellent tea, coffee or chat with the owners about their...lives of Huangshan. Or any other subjects what can be interesting for a traveler who is interested in traditional Chinese history, tea culture etc. The owners Mr Wang and Laura have a nice antiques collection as well. They can give you a fascinating insight into antiques if you are curious. Laura speaks excellent English. I was very glad to meet with them and spend some very pleasant time in their bar.More

The mood here is very calm and sophisticated. It is a bar and tea house, but also a beautiful show house for the owner's Chinese antiques, which they buy and sell. Feel free to browse. If the owners are there, they will show you around...happily. The wife speaks great English. A full bar, including coffees and teas. The bar is not far from old street, on Huashan Rd., between the old bridge and the church.More

Surprisingly located on the bottom of the mountain, along the river, 100m from the entry of the old city, this bar is Laura's dream. She created an amazing space to enjoy a talk, an advice about the region and a drink from sunset till late,...with real cold Belgium beer! You believe to get into a movie set when you pass the entrance door. The place looks like a natural cave with beautiful set up and light, hosting a huge collection of arts and real antiques displayed. The music is lounging sensually and i was happy to give her few more Gigabytes of jazz, blues and worldmusic to add to her collection. We enjoyed so much to meet her and followed her advices to discover hidden gems of the region. Do not miss it when you stay in Huangshan, it is a cultural and social gem. And Laura and her husband are charming jewels. PS: I dont remember they serve food, but enjoy a real ice-cream from NZ, changing from Chinese made ice-cream...More

I had the pleasure of living in Huangshan and frequented what we referred to as "Laura's". Her English is excellent and the bar can be as relaxing or fun as you want! There were often lively conversations coupled with tasty concoctions from behind the bar....The pictures don't do the decor justice as all of the antiques are ever changing and a genuine representation of Chinese art. If you're in Huangshan, stop in for a visit. You won't be disappointed :)!More

I discovered Ting Yun a few years ago purely by accident! What a pleasure ever since whenever I visited Huangshan (the Yellow Mountain) again! The owner couple built this black and white traditional Anhui style architecture building under a cliff right on the riverside road...of Xinan river, with a Zen style garden in front. They collected beautiful local Chinese antiques and furnitures, and provide various Chinese tea, imported coffee, Belgium and German beer, New Zealand ice-cream and imported wine. Fantastic atmosphere in a unique setting! The English speaking owner Laura is very helpful to make our stay enjoyable, and gave us all kinds of local knowledge of where to hike, eat, shop and village hopping in nearby Auhui countryside. It's really a hidden gem under Huangshan mountain! A must be place for travellers to taste true culture of Yellow mountain and Anhui. Will certainly come back and recommend any friends passing by Huangshan!More
