Really nice service. Food is good not to oily or too spicy and fresh ingredients. You can come here and enjoy food for a good price. Local beer is also available. It is not a super cozy place but you won’t find that much better...than here.More

This place is incredible, especially if you’re a vegetarian as the owner speaks very good English and makes it so easy to order. So far on our trip we haven’t met any restaurant owners who speak English and trying to translate the menu to identify...vegetarian dishes is difficult so this was an incredible find and such a relief. The food was delicious and we ate here all 3 nights that we were staying in town. We tried many local dishes and enjoyed them all. The photos included are an eggplant dish and a vegetable noodle dish. Every night the owner gave us helpful advice on where to travel, how to get there (buses), prices, discounts and more. She gave us an incredibly helpful map of Yellow Mountain. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling through town. The restaurant was also on Ctrip Gourmet List 2018 and 2019.More

On our trip to visit the Huashan, we stumbled upon this quaint restaurant, one among many in the small township. The main distinguishing feature was the sign 'English service'. Grateful to be able to converse in English, my wife and I entered. The food was...AMAZING - so good, in fact, that we returned for dinner the following night and again for lunch the day after. Highly recommended. Very hospitable hostess. The chicken dishes (mushroom and veggies) were mouth-watering, the portion sizes generous and only 45 yuan each.More

The three days I spent in the village I went to this restaurant. First of all she speaks English, which was really convenient. There's a menu in English too (which could be improved, but it works) and some pictures. The food actually was really good,...with a good variety, so I enjoyed them all days. Price is ok. Would recommend for westerners who are looking for a good service and good chinease food.More

Great place to get a nice home cooked meal. Prices are higher than you would typically pay at a hole in the wall restaurant but well worth it. The owner is friendly and speaks English so, feel at ease. The restaurant has a yellow sign...out front which is not illuminated at night so a little hard to find but the address is correct. And as a landmark, it’s right next to the bridge. I would come back here for another meal for sure! I ate here two days in a row. Suggest to order the pork belly with preserved veggies (Hong shao rou with mei gan cai). Good to replenish lost calories or fuel up for a long day of hiking.More

English speaking owner is big benefit. Also the sweet and soure chicken (40yuen) taste great for Euro people ;). We tried different places, but this one is where we would only come back!

With a group of French friends we stayed a few days in Tangkou to climb the mountain. During all this time the restaurant became our « cantine »: food was very good (really worth the price), service was super nice! The owner was super nice with us:...speaking fluently english she was able to help us during our trip (advice, recommadation, renting of tent, booking our buses...) very helpful when no one else speaks english. We totally recommend this restaurant!More

When you are visiting Tangkou, you should definitely have dinner in this restaurant! There is a lot of choice on the menu. We had sweet and sour chicken, tofu, fried noodles and dumplings. Every dish was delicious. On top of that, we got a great...service in English from the very friendly owner.More

My wife and I have been living in China for nearly one year, and this was one of our favourite meals we've had here! It does not look like much from outside, but the owner, Wu Xin, invited us in and we were impressed by...her excellent English. We started with the bamboo, mushrooms and pork which came in a rich gravy-like sauce, then spicy chicken with beans and carrot, and garlic water spinach. The dishes were just the right amount of spicy, and we ordered the chicken boneless, which was a rare treat! The flavours were truly excellent and we will definitely go back if we are in the area again. Great value for money and helpful, friendly service.More

Small family run restaurant in Tangkou serving local cuisine, down on the road that runs alongside the river. The name is in Chinese so you'll need to decipher some Chinese characters if you aren't familiar with the language. I've uploaded a pic of the restaurant's...card showing the Chinese name. Owner speaks good English and there is an English menu, but we never actually saw it as she just suggested a few dishes. Tasty food but a bit on the pricey side for what you get, although the total bill still only came to 140 RMB for two people. Everyone else in there appeared to be local which is always a good sign. Wu Xin, the owner, also offers tourism info services like maps of Huangshan mountain, routes and bus bookings. We had already gone up the mountain so not sure what these actually entail though.More
