Simply amazing! Everything was perfect, food and service! We had oysters and wild sea bass. They were fresh and tasty. Owner was very kind and attentive to us. For desert we had cheesecake which was also amazing.

I have been two other times to this restaurant and compared with the competition, the food is good but the rave reviews need to be taken with a pinch of salt (literally) as the Black Sea seafood does not compare to mediterranean seafood at all....This time though, I suspect that being highly rated has made the owners big headed! It was Saturday and the place was packed, after asking to reserve they told me the kitchen closes at 10.00pm - fair enough. So after most tables cleared we were there at 9.20. After taking some time to eat and relax, a couple of the staff just took a chair and waited looking fed up at our table and the couple of other tables still there. At 10.15 they almost literally told us to leave as they wanted to close and go home! For me this was the last time I will ever go there as closing the kitchen at 10.00 does NOT mean GET OUT soon after - and on a busy Saturday night! 'Success' has clearly gone to their heads. There are other restaurants offering the same fare in Nessebar!More

Very simple looking restaurant and local, but the food was amazing and home made! We will be coming back 🥹 and u have to try the cheese cake! Wow

Still the best Restaurant in Old Nessebar, excellent Mussels and a stunning T-Bone Steak at good prices. Good attentive staff at decent prices... our favourite.... two visits this year

Not all its cracked up to be, rated #1 in Nessebar. We had 3 starters and a main. One of the starters was doubled as a main. One was mussels in sauce, average, one was prawns in white wine sauce, prawns solid as a rock,...one was king prawns in garlic and dill, the only decent starter. Garlic bread was served with the white wine prawns, filling but very little garlic. Main course my wife had Turbot which was basically bones done in batter, honestly there was hardly any fish on the plate at all. Sorry, but this place is very overated, perhaps its because we are fish lovers but there must be better places to eat in Nessebar. Its one place we will avoid in future anyway. On the bright side, the staff were good and the setting was lovely.More

Decided to spend the last day of our holiday visiting Old Nessebar and have our meal at the Od Sailor which looked such a lovely place to eat. We were not disappointed....The most difficult thing was to choose what to eat because they all sounded...so good. The choice we made was excellent, I cannot remember when I last enjoyed food that tasted so good, both dishes were delicious and that homemade garlic bread was great! Wish we had somewhere like this at home🥰More

We were a party of 4 and had a delicious dinner at The Old Sailor restaurant in Nessebar. The restaurant is in the heart of the Old Town of Nessebar. The ancient walls of St Sophia Church make a beautiful backdrop of the restaurant. We...were impressed with the menu containing a range of fresh fish - catch of the day. We were presented with the most delicious platter of freshly prepared fish, homemade salads and side dishes, accompanied by homemade bread and nicely chilled Bulgarian Pinot Grigio. The service is very attentive, and the owner - Svetlozar, provides constant presence and supervision. The restaurant fully deserves its position in Tripadvisor as the best restaurant in Nessebar. What a gem.More

We came back a second time to eat at this place. Food is amazing and the staff are very nice. The 5 star rating is most definitely earned.

We visited Nessebar on two occasions during our ten day holiday to Bulgaria. On the second visit we stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant, tempted in by the wonderful smells of fresh seafood as we wondered down the gorgeous rustic cobbled streets. We were certainly not...disappointed, although we had enjoyed a lot of the local cuisine, the food here was absolutely everything we were looking for. Seafood spaghetti I ordered for myself, others in my party ordered chicken and broccoli spaghetti, and spaghetti carbonara, to which we all throughly enjoyed and the children had a burger, and chicken tenders. There wasn’t one complaint!!! Highly recommendMore

Great food and the best service. Best food ever! If you visit Nessebar. All the food superb give a better than 5 stars. Quite expensive though!
