Ça-va is located nearby some of Sao Paulo atractions (Paulista Ave, MASP). It offers most of the traditional French dishes. I ordered the Confit de Canard and it was just good. My wife ate the salmon with almondes crust. Both of them came with a different risotto. Ça-va offers a sort of Menu options (The usual "Formule" of France)

We have nothing bad to say: the restaurant was not crewed, so the service was attentive and we were able to talk. The atmosphere is sort of intimate. Food was very tasty. I fell in love with a steak au poivre and a velvety pumpkin purée. It's worth.

Frequented this place over the years and now I feel compelled to write something about it, mainly because I've never been so stunned by watching an establishment decay into such stingy antipathy towards its clientele. This place is now a dead man walking restaurant. The food itself is not necessarily bad, nor mind blowing, but the problem here lies in... More

A little gem seldom known even by locals. Don't expect fancy food. It's the perfect, honest, good food bistro. Family run. Spend the morning at Masp Museum than go for lunch there. Business lunch with no rush? Go there. Quite a pleasure.

I have visited the place during the "Restaurant Week SP" event, with fixed price for a starter, main dish and dessert. The place presents a French decor, but the overall impression is of an old simple restaurant, in fact I did not like, nothing fashion at all. I took a look at the menu and it is not cheap. Entrance... More

Incredibly pricy, even the so called "executive lunch" in Brazil. The 'menu formula' gives you an entry, main course and dessert, but the portions are very, *very* small and non inspiring. For a R$34 price, it could sound reasonable, but adding a soda and the 10% tip, the bill was around R$60. There are plenty of other better options around,... More

Great location and menu, good wine options and amazing food. Very close to the heart of the main Sao Paulo street, Paulista Avenue, Ca-Va is a great place to eat at a fair price. The special courses and the unique french flavor, makes it more than a good restaurant... Makes you fell like you are in France.

Staying in Bela Vista

Neighbourhood Profile
Bela Vista
Known for its Italian cantinas, Bela Vista is the place to go for great pasta. Also called “Bixiga”, the area is an important cultural part of the city, with the bohemian and the religious costumes of its inhabitants on full display. In August, the large Nossa Senhora Achiropita party fills the streets with a variety of Italian food and music. You can experience the liveliness of the neighbourhood walking through the antiquities fair at Dom Orione Square or visiting the “Brazilian Caminito”, a version of the Argentinian street complete with colorful buildings. Bela Vista is also home to the traditional samba school “Vai-Vai”. Buy a ticket to a rehearsal and get a taste of what Carnival is like.
