At the front of the restaurant is a bakery so you have to go to the back to get to the seating area but it's nice and out the way off the shoppers. It has your standard pay by weight section which is good but not much different to others in the area but you also have a pizza menu... More

Prices are okay. Food is good. Especially nice are the croissants and other baked items at the bar in front. You can be in & out quickly, or take your time with the buffet.

Set a few blocks back from the beach this place is popular with tourists and locals alike. We came here for dinner - hoping to try a variety of local delights. There is a buffet which you choose from and then you pay depending on how much your plate weighs - there is a good variety of things to choose... More

The whole ordering/paying process could be confusing at first, particularly if you don't speak Portuguese, but bottom line the pizza was excellent. Haven't tried the buffet but it looked promising.

Great food (by weight) and, pizza in wood fired oven. It is necessary that you indicate pizzaiolo, who do not put much if you want little mozzarella. The rodizio of pizza is not convenient because pizza arrives cold. This pizza is good, in the context of Rio de janeiro. Do not order natural juice orange because they put water on... More

Rio de Janeiro is famous for its "per Kilo" restaurants. This is definitely one of the better ones. Do not be deceived by the entrance, where the place looks more like a bakery and a traditional fast food outlet. Out the back is the actual per kilo restaurant. There are a couple of things that stand out from the crowd... More

Best place in Rio for pizza. The front is mostly sandwiches and baked goods but in the back area, they have a churrascaria (average)...and they have pizza...great pizza! Rio is not known for pizza as most, including the chains, are average at best but the 686 knows how to do pizza right. Not Chicago or New York but more freestyle... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
