We ate here twice while we stayed 12 days in nearby Casa Caminho do Corcovado. The food and service were good. As mostly locals dine here, only Portuguese is spoken. You will need to know a little, or pantomime and point a lot. We don't drink alcohol, but I can recommend a local drink - limeade. Just ensure you order... More

Good ambient e food. Nice to go with family and friends. The restaurant has also a good wine selection. The prices are acceptable and they have a delicious couvert.

We were there yesterday, location was convenient and recommendation were positive. We ordered aglio-olio home made pasta and one of the pizzas. Pasta was simply overlooked, garlic was burned and the entire dish was not not consumable. Pizza wasn't better, the dough was dry and hard and it was hardly resembling Italian pizza. Bad experience.

Nice restaurant, good food and friendly staff. Upstairs is the restaurant and on the ground floor is something like a bistro.

As typical italian restaurant, the servings were very big (enough fo sharing). It has a menu with lots of different options.

We have italian ascendents, and so, we know our pasta. If you were told that while in Brazil italiana food should be tasted in São Paulo, and have no time to go there, try Mamma Rosa, you won't regret it.

The food here was nice and the restaurant itself is a nice place to eat. We all had pasta dishes and they were all delicious. The service was good and the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

It is not an expensive place, the service was ok ,and I didn't need to wait long. However, the pasta that was served to me was tasteless and had very little to do with Italian food (Bolognese with too much meat, very few vegetables, barely any tomatoes...). Maybe I was unlucky but I don't think I will visit again.

Looking for a quick bite on the way to Christ the Redeemer, and we found Mamma Rosa's. Busy on a mid-Sunday afternoon. Decent beer and wine selection, mid range and reasonably priced. Extensive menu, doubt all is scratch- made but all our group got was fresh and delicious. Gnocchi was the real-deal- not over cooked with definition left in the... More

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the food was pretty dire. Pizzas were not real pizzas and the pasta and sauce tasted like they were out of a tin.
