My husband and I went to this restaurant on our second night in Rio. Firstly we didn't book and were told it was a half an hour wait, but the hostess found us a seat in about 5 minutes. The service was great and we had two of the best steaks (Prime Rib and Chateaux Briand). The steaks were cooked... More

Went to CT last night with my husband after we've got recommended the place of a guy that has been living in Rio for a while. We got there from Gloria with an Uber at 9 pm (brazilian people don't go out to eat before that time) and had a table outside. The brazilian waitress was not very service minded... More

Unlike the other steakhouses with all-you-can-eat meat, CT Boucherie does all-you-can-eat sides. All of it was delicious. I had the chateaubriand, which was prepared quite nicely. Very much enjoyed all of the sides.

You pick your meat and then you have all you can eat side dishes. They pass with them and you just pick. Nice concept. We could sit outside, too cold inside for us. Friendly service and delicious dinner.

Great meat (mainly beef) restaurant. There are several options of how to order your food, however some of us have chosen a cut of beef and had the sides on a 'rodizio' basis, where you can choose any amount of sides you want as they bring the different options to your table. All the sides were delicious and the meet... More

It is not a cheap place, but the quality and taste is delicious! Perfect meat with perfect side dishes! Worth going at least once.

This is kind of the opposite principle of what you find at a classic Brazilian Churrascaria: At CT Boucherie you select one kind of meat. And then they have a lot of different side dishes to choose from. I opted for the veal prime rib, among the 15ish kinds of meat you could select from. The meat was cooked to... More

Consistency is rare when it comes to restaurants in Rio, but I have never had anything less than excellent food and service at CT Boucherie. The 'CT' stands for Claude Troisgros, a French chef (from a very famous family of chefs) who has become household name and national treasure here in Brazil. But this is no celeb chef cashing in... I am a meat lover so I was planing a visit to this place for a long time. I tried two times, but there was a waiting list and I did not want to wait. In the third attempt I finally got a table for me and my wife. I ordered a Ancho steak, an Argentinian cut, known for its... More

Usually we go to restaurants for the main dish. Not at CT. It inverts the equation. The main attraction here is the side dishes. The panko farofa, the roasted vegetables, the apple puree with passion fruit, the herb infused chips. And the best part: the sides are served rodízio style, so you can repeat whichever you prefer as many times... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Leblon
In addition to being one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in the city, Leblon is charming, elegant and simple. This posh area has some of the most famous and expensive restaurants in Brazil, along with some of the city’s best nightlife (including some places open all night). One of the best places to visit is the beach, located under the impressive “Morro Dois Irmãos” (Two Brothers Hill). It’s a pleasant place to relax and admire the local beauty.
