I finally went into Talho Capixaba on this my recent stay in Rio. It looks like they have a decent breakfast and a decent deli store. The sweets look pretty good, but I've only tried the bread. The bread is easily the best I've tried in Rio.

Near me, near our home and always a great and grateful surprise. Pastries, breads, snacks and a small grocerie.

Everything in this palce worths to taste. The place , the service and all the food. You feel like you are in your own tea room. The cakes are amazing! The bread is always fresh and getting out of the oven. I sugest you go there to check!

This place was located right in the heart of Leblon, obviously a very popular spot with locals as it was always busy. A few tables on the sidewalk in front then quite a few in the back of the store that opened onto small, inside gardens. While in Rio for the Olympics we bought either sandwiches, fresh baguettes or pastries... More

The site is officially half bakery and half meat market, but the bakery activities have dominated it. Pastries are vast and with good quality. I also recommend to have breakfast, despite being usually very busy, mainly during weekends, be patient, it is worth a visit. Have a fresh juice with a good sandwich.

My friends and I ate here before we went to hike Cristo Redentor and it was so lovely! The outdoor sidewalk cafe is a great spot to post up and watch as the trendy locals pass by while enjoying your morning breakfast and coffee. All the food was stellar, delicious sandwiches and pastries. It also has a cute little market... More

Nice place to buy good products. Better to take away as the service is slow and not as nice as it could. I found it expensive.

Nice place for a Brazilian breakfast either with traditional delicatessen as tapioca. But pretty expensive. For the rich and well born families form Rio.

Quality bread, cakes, pastries and delicatessen supermarket. French people go there to buy croissants and baguettes. I went for breakfast, "Talho completo" and was lucky to have a table outside. Don't forget to order some fresh "pães de queijo" to eat during the day!

We'd been 2 weeks in Brazil and were hankering for a decent sandwich. I read about Talho Capixaba on tripadvisor and as it was a mile or so from our hotel we decided to walk down for lunch. So glad we did - the food was excellent. Gorgeous bread (we tried Ciabatta and Australian), great coffee and fabulous cakes/pastries. There... More
