This place was a total disappointment. I was staying in Rio for 2 days (having previously lived here) and fancied a good quality feijoada. What a mistake! The food was no better than average and the price outrageous. On top of that the waiters were not just unfriendly but also managed to get our bill wrong 3 times- an astounding... More

This had to be the most decadent and indulgent meal of my life to date. For some reason my love and I had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Here, there is no need for a menu. You came for the feijoada (fay-jo-AH-dah) completa: black beans, meat, rice, couve (collards), torresmo fritas (cracklin or chicharrones) and laranjas (oranges). This is basically... More

First they bring you the fried sausage (i think its calabresa) to untap your appetite Then the feijoada comes in two steaming pots one for the noble meats and another for "feet, ears and tail". Beans come in a third pot so you can pour on top of the meats. This house in particular does not serve fried bacon breakfast-style,... More

The feijoada is FANTASTIC here. It has a home made feel, yet top notch all the same. The meat is so tender and the side dishes were delicious, very filling so you won't go hungry! Don't be put off by the price - 93 R$. That's only about 23 pounds and it includes a small soup to start, the huuuuge... More

The staff, he swiped the card and he did it very fast, then he used it as he should. It's a card with chip. A few days later they called from the bank told they are trying to use the card in US.

This restaurant comes highly recommended by tour companies, hotels, etc. That is why we visited. It is a very good restaurant where the service was excellent. Friendly staff. The portions are huge. As other reviewers indicate, it is probably overpriced. If concerned about pricing, you should check out what other places such as hotelrestaurants have to offer by way of... More

not the place to go if you are concerned about your cholesterol. As you seat and before ordering you are treated with a savory small cup of soup, followed by a delicious sausage similar to chistorra in Spain. This is the place to have a taste of traditional brazilian feijoada, served in family portions. kind of confusing how many people... More

The food was good, but quite overpriced. $R92 for Feijoada seemed a little steep for a traditional "slave food". Service was good. 10% service charge. Caipirinha was bargain though given it's size.

The waiters were very friendly. We were offered several additional appetizers and drinks on the house. The food was also good.

What a shame!! This restaurant has nothing to offer, except high prices. The feijoada is mediocre, the service is bored, arrogant, impatient, unhelpful. I have had many feijoadas in my life, and this is probably the worse. Beans are undercooked and tasteless, the meats were salty and dark. It works as an all- you -can-it place because waiters are supposed... More
