This is the second time have eaten here. Last time was 4 years ago. The restaurant has a nice local, semi elegant atmosphere with life music and superb service. Located on the main street of old Paraty next to the Imperial Hotel. One of the best Caipirinha's I had on this trip using Corisco Cachaca … the best Paraty has... More

We ended up here as the result of a power cut knocking out pretty much every other restaurant in the old town and removing any kind of choice for dinner. When we walked in at just after 9pm, despite the fact that there were 3 tables still eating, the staff were seemingly shutting up for the night and spent the... More

We were lucky to find Aconchego Grill by accident as it was pouring with rain at dinner time and it was one of the closest restaurants to our pousada. What luck we had, because the food was delicious, the service was professional, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant is nicely decorated. Food is decent and waiter even speak basic english. Local draft beer was great. Most expensive brazilian red wine (67reals) was fine. The surprise came on the bill. We ordered a plate for 3 from a basis of plate forme 2. Rate on the bill wasn't 1.5 but 1.7 ! No explainations after asking. Then you... More

After just landing in Paraty, this was my first stop for food. I'd ordered a pasta dish and the portion amount was a lot. It could probably be shared with 3 people. The pasta was the best part of the meal. I ordered a pina colada and it wasn't the best. Main course was worth the money spent. Overall, nice... More

The menu helpfully tells you that most of the dishes are for two people (unlike elsewhere where we have been served and charged huge amounts). We had two pasta dishes between three which was plenty. The spaghetti was well cooked and the fresh pesto sauce and Gorgonzola sauce were very good. The three scoops of choc ice cream dessert great... More

I’d have ordered a starter if the waiter had understood enough English or he'd been willing to stay with me while I explained. The waiter was unable to explain to me the difference in the main courses so I guessed. The steak was adequate, the chips excellent; the steamed vegetables OK. Still hungry I ordered a desert – Banana caramel... More

We went here in high season (jan) and it was pretty deserted, a bad sign. We ordered two Caipirinhas and were sent something that tasted like someone had seen them in a film and tried to recreate them using grapefuit and tequila. I'm British so will drink almost anything alcoholic, I left these as they were appalling. The food was... More
