We tried several spots during our week in Trancoso, but Capim Santo was the only place we returned to (a few times). Great ambiance, friendly service, and good food. Thanks!

In Quadrado, Trancoso, this restaurant has great food, with talented artists performing live music every night. The lobster grilled in Abacaxi (Pineapple), the grilled sea bass, the pasta with sea food were all exquisite.

Just as the title says, at restaurant in the quadrado is going to be overpriced... like NEW YORK prices in the small beach town which get frustrating after a while but this restaurant is worth every penny! Great sized portions and fine dining experience... we loved it.

This restaurant is really cool! Probably the best one because of the entire package. First the environment is really cool, the staff is well prepared and really nice. The minimal details totally make a difference, such as the silverware, complimentary appetizer... The food was really great, specially the differentiated juices. this is a place that the high price is worth!!

an excellent meal with a good choice of meat and fish - I had lobster which was delicious - just a shame our first choice dessert was not available

First of all, the lighting of the restaurant is so warm and nice. There is enough light to see what you are eating and drinking very well, but otherwise it is soft and whimsical. We got to Capim Santo and were welcomed with received a shot of the capim santo drink, while good (not loud) live music was playing. We... More

This is a lovely restaurant in every respect. The ambience is lovely, the staff are friendly, and the food first-rate. As soon as we sat down we were served jugs of iced water which I took to be a good omen when so many restaurants here make a killing on small bottles of water. I'm not terribly keen on music... This restaurant is a must do while in Trancoso. The dishes and beverages there are outstanding. On top of that, their service is excellent too. Hopefully next time I'll also stay at Pousada Capim Santo!
