I fed my family of seven for R$200 (including a R$25 tip since they don't automatically charge the normal 10% service fee). The Matrinxã fish was excellent. Served up with black-eyed peas and rice, farofa, and a very tasty vinagrete, I would order it again. My kids had filet of Tucunaré pan-seared, and filet of steak. They were all good... More

If you want to try a local fish on an inexpensive place, canto da peixada it is the right stop. We tried the "caldinho" a fish soup as a starter. Generally the soup is accompanied with manioc flour, rice or pirao. After that se tried tambaqui grilled ribs. The last was simply fantastic, the best that we have during our... More

This place was not on my radar, a friend brought me here to try their local fish. The accompaniments were great and their juices delicious (try their 'suco do graviola!'). It was very reasonably priced.

I was there because it was so close to my hotel but the food was not so good. The location is quite poor. ..outside in front of the street without air conditioning and the prices are not cheep at all. I think You can find something better

Tambaqui and Pirarucu are the very uniquel Amanzonian fresh water fish. The Tambaqui, because of its fat becomes absolutely delicious when char broiled. At the Canto da Peixada the bring you the Tambaqui ribs on a stick just as they do it for meat in some "rodizio". Restaurants in Brazil. The place itself is so simple that you would not... More

Very simple restaurant, but food is very good and prices are affordable. Tambaqui and Pirarucu are standard options. If you like a good fish soup, ask for Caldeirada!

During our stay in Manaus we enjoyed two excellent, great value meals there. For anyone looking for an authentic Amazonian meal this is the place to go - order any fish off the menu and I'm sure you can't go wrong. The passion fruit cream desert is also a special treat. The service was absolutely fantastic and I would go... More

This is a more expensive restaurant than the ones near the Opera house, but the best fish in the city! A must visit if you enjoy seafood!

Great food. As suggested by others the Tambaqui is a must and grilled is best. You can have the ribs as an addition to the soup / stew to which you can add rice and everything else. Great local food patronised mainly by locals, and no guessing why. Can get full at lunchtimes.
