Beware of this place. They charge a $12 corkage fee for any bottle of wine you order with your meal. What kind of restaurant does that? Only a dishonest and deceitful establishment. It is buried on the menu and the waiter never brought it to our attention. We are never going back.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Ballston neighborhood of Arlington. They specialize in wines from around the world, and their wine flights are a lot of fun if you want to experience different vinos in one sitting. The appetizers are delicious. They've expanded the bar area and entire inside seating, and in summer their patio is quite... More

Stayed at the Westin gateway, didn't want to go to old town or D.C. for dinner. Walked through the beautifully lit courtyard and had an AMAZING experience! The hostess was a little off, but after we were sat all was well. Service was spot on, water refills, wine recommendations and dinner was delicious, although served while we were still enjoying... Delicious Malbec, among many good choices available, with good food and good service. A really nice place for dinner. The cheese fondue is very good and the steaks very tasty.

To start the year on a positive note, let me first praise the efforts of bartender Philip to try and salvage a bad situation. Grand Cru has been a favorite, and we made a New Year's Eve reservation for six. Despite having a 7:30 reservation, we spent more than 75 minutes at the bar awaiting our table -- first told... More

We have come to Grand Cru off and on for years, starting when it was located in a much smaller space a block or two west of its current location. Just across a couple blocks from the Ballston Metro, Grand Cru is a convenient stop on the Orange and Silver lines. But that's not why you should come. The food... More

Amazing French cuisine. Superb wine flights. Dishes run from $15 to $30. Low lighting environment makes for calm and romantic settings.

I was with a colleague and we decided to sit at the bar. Service wasn't so great but it didn't spoil the meal. I started with the warm Brussel Sprout salad and it was great. For main course I had pork tenderloin. Excellent!! It ended up being rather expensive overall and that's because of the drinks. Total bill with tip... More

Eight college friends went out for dinner on a Saturday night. We were able to get a reservation for 6 PM. We even got there 15 minutes late and they sat us with no problem. Some people at the table got entrées while others of us shared a variety of appetizers as dinner. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the... More
