The menu is extensive though our dishes were just so so ( Greek Sampler, Moussaka and a seafood dish we can't even remember, which speaks volumes ). Good wine list, good service and outdoor dining was pleasant, but the food needs some work. Overall, an...unimpressive dinner.More

Took our daughter here for her birthday celebration. First visit for the 3 of us, but it will not be our last! The triple dip with pita appetizer was so flavorful, as was the spanakotiropita. The "veal margarita", veal scaloppini in a cream sauce with...artichoke and mushroom melted in your mouth! The staff was attentive. The only issue we had, and it is so very common in most restaurants, was the noise level. Well worth a visit, however, and we will definitely return.More

Dining room is open now (APR '21) and outdoor seating IN THE STREET - if you live in Alexandria, you know what that means! Parking, no they don't - but a good lot on 1101 King St (enter on Cameron) is 2 blocks away and...worth it. Food was very good, price=high but not for the Old Town area. NOTE: Bathrooms (men and women) was really bad smelling. Is there a plumber in the house?More

Excellent food! Vaso's is a wonderful family owned restaurant with exceptional tasting food. The food is fresh and prepared when you order it. You can taste the time and energy put into cooking the food. I had the veal chop and my wife had the...stuffed flounder and we both loved them. This is a restaurant that cooks the food fresh. They do not simply warm the dish up when you order it. Lastly the tiramisu is amazing! A must if your in the DMV!More

Romantic setting, brightly lit, and clean inside. Small dining area but guests began leaving since it was late afternoon and it became less crowded as time went by. Pasta carbonara was heavy with rich sauce. The lamb with pasta was so tender that the meat...was falling off. Calamari and fresh bread were great appetizers.More

Just finished dinner at Vaso's Kitchen so we went to her second place on King street for after dinner drinks and desert. She makes the best homemade terramissu available . We went to see Vaso as she wasn't at the Kitchen. Her chef at the...Mediterranean was out and she was running the kitchen. So after a couple drinks, terramissu and a capichino we were able to sped a couple minutes catching up with her. She has two great places- The Bistro is the more lively of the two- so highly recommend this family destinationMore

I did takeout and was treated very nicely by the staff. I ordered the chicken parmesan and a shrimp dish which were both excellent.

I am not able to understand how this place can have food reviews. The food is overpriced. I feel so bad for my husband that got the specials, a pasta dish with seafood, the 70% of the plate it was shells, some of them EMPTY....It was like a bad joke for a 40.00 dollars dish. At least you expect something delicious. It was terrible. He didn't finish. My daughter ordered the chicken parmesan. It was good but the pasta was the worst pasta that I ever tried in my life! They didn't bother to put salt on it 27 dollars for that not worth it. I ordered the Gyro salad. Mediocre! Twenty dollars for the most non flavor salad ever. Save your money, go to another place, you will thank me. My worst restaurant decision ever, and we love Mediterranean food, but this place is a joke! I forgot to men that they took so long to brought this very elaborate food 😆 terrible!More

The food here is so good. The gyro salad is authentic and utterly fantastic. Their fish dishes are equally delicious. Highly recommend.

Street parking, pay until 9:00pm. Some lots nearby and if you are taking metro or staying in Old Town, you can take the free trolley that runs up and down King Street.
