Stopped in based on reviews. Ordered the chicken quesadillas and Carne as adams. Almost no chicken in the quesadillas. The bistec was seasoned ok, but was overcooked and dry. Rice was bland, no onion, peppers or corn, and the refried beans were bland and runny. We won't return.

Popped in for some authentic tacos for lunch. Very good, but probably not quite as good as no. 2 on the Yelp list... Big lunch for 2 for $20. Great salsa bar with pickled peppers. Worth it just for that.

This place is the real deal. Having lived in Mexico City for a few years, I can certainly tell you this food is authentic! The posole and the sopes are my favorite. If you go during non peak hours they will make your quesadilla with corn masa and fry it for you...absolutely delicious!!!

Had fantastic Sopas in a restaurant that took me back to Mexico! Soaps are fried Tortillas topped with black bean, chicken, lettuce and sour cream. I used the mild pico de gallo and fresh cilantro to top Sopas. DELICIOUS! There was a salad bar with lots of toppings for the food. We went there for lunch and could have tried... More

Big flavors - the sopes were really, really good. The tacos, too. Will have to go back to try the other things on the menu.

The steak tacos were great. Not a fancy place, service was good. Food was very good. Much better than any chain Mexican, and you get a lot of food for a good price.

This unassuming little taco joint is well worth the visit! The food is very authentic, much like you would find on the Texas border. We love the tacos al pastor, carne asada, and carnitas. If they have empanadas available make you to get one to finish off your meal!

If you knew a place like this existed- you could never in good conscious eat Taco Bell or Chipotle tacos (and I love Chipotle) again! There is no comparison. Fresh, hot, and reasonably priced. The hot sauce is TRULY hot so beware if you are a lightweight, but it's awesome. I had the spicy pork, sauced beef, and chicken tacos.... More

This was a breath of fresh air compared to all the "chain" Mexican restaurants in the area. Of coarse not as good as California/Texas or grandma's Mexican food, but still above the rest in this area. Short menu makes it easy to order, enjoy some favorites like tacos, I recommend Al Pastor, the pozole, carne asada, and sopes. Would definitely... More

When someone met me and knew that I am from Mexico he exclaimed "You have to go to El Costalilla"... A little far but worth every minute and drop of gasoline El Costalilla is an authentic little restaurant. It is owned by a mexican man who serves great steak tacos, fantastic ceviche tostadas and the best Tacos al Pastor ever!... More
