Met up with a date for a drink. We also ordered the oysters, hummus and cheese dip. The appetizers were all tasty. Service was good. We sat at the bar. The place was really interesting with multiple dining areas. Prices were a bit high, but everything else was good.

Went at noon on a Saturday for lunch. However we found the available breakfast items on the brunch menu more appealing then the lunch choices. We were very happy with our decisions on Bacon Cinnamon buns and omelets. The atmosphere is great especially in the bar area with the huge wood bar and stained glass in the ceiling.

Came here twice, once in 2015 and once in 2016. The first time, was amazing! Food was great and service was amazing. The second time, they didn't have any of the soda I asked for in stock (3 different types), however, the food was still great. The prices are a little high if you're looking for a more budget-friendly place... More

Like another reviewer said down below, I really wanted to love this place, but overall the experience was just OK. The space is great - both indoor and on their enclosed outdoor patio. We went during restaurant week and ordered a salad and the cheese dip as our starters, steak and crabcakes for the entree and tried each dessert option... More

We visited during Restaurant Week with a couple that lives in Alexandria. The special included a starter, supper choice and dessert. We each ordered something different so we could share. Everything was fabulous. While it is not a cheap dinner, the food is spectacular, the service very attentive and the atmosphere ideal for a night out as a couple, with... More

My son treated my husband, my mother and my sister to a wonderful dinner to celebrate the start of our family festivities. Although I just ate a wonderful beet salad, my family ate beef, pasta and seafood and it was perfect! Since we were Ubering, the drinks flowed!! My martinis were delicious and I am a picky martini drinker. We... More

I travel to DC often and stay in Alexandria. There's so many restaurants to choose from but this one is my favorite (modern American food). Ordered cheese board and salmon on this trip, and creme brûlée for dessert. Everything was delicious. Service is always great.

We wanted to love this place. Who wouldn't want to enjoy a fine meal in an old beautiful but tired firehouse. Lovely spot, tired on the inside. OK service. Ok food. OK prices. OK wine. Nough said!

My husband & I booked the second and third floors for our wedding reception on a Sunday evening in July 2015. We easily fit 60 guests on the second floor, and used the third floor for the appetizers, photo booth, and bar. The initial reservation, planning, food selection, as well as setup on the day of the event were flawless.... More

I'm told that the restaurant is a converted firehouse, and this only adds to the charm of this place. Somehow feels fancy, without any stuffiness... All of the food was incredible, but I can heartily recommend the Mac and Cheese- the best I've tasted! It's on the pricier end of the spectrum, but your date will be more than impressed!
