This is a higher end chain restaurant, I have eaten at a couple in Manhattan, this one in Alexandria is pretty much the same so it is nice to know that they are consistent. I had the egg white, mushroom and goat cheese omelette which was served with nice pieces of bread and a salad. I enjoyed it, but it... More

Great for breakfast/brunch. Very tasty, very fresh, wide variety. If you are in Washington D.C. you owe it to yourself to try this place! My wife and I have been twice and loved it both times. This is a must try.

The location and atmosphere are excellent. We had delicious break fast. The bread basket was small and was not hot, although it was fresh. The salad are fresh and good. I liked the avocado touch with bread.

We were here last year and it wasn't too bad... this year, it seemed very grungy, dirty (the bathroom was pretty disgusting) and the food was not of the same caliber as we are used to at LPQ. To boot, it seems to have been completely taken over by families with babies... no longer somewhere you can go for a... More

The bread is very good. The small bread basket is small. It is supposed to come with butter and jam. We finally got jam from the next table. We went downstairs to get the butter from the front counter. The jam is tasty. Plain coffee comes in a small pot that gives you maybe 2 cups. $4. The service sucks.

We were looking for a breakfast place in Alexandria and after a Google search saw that Le Pain Quotidien was nearby. We have eaten at the one in Chicago and loved the breakfasts so were thrilled to find it. It is such a cute place and I love the French vibe. I had the waffle and it was the best... More

We had a leisurely breakfast here on a Tuesday morning. It was crowded and had a nice vibe, but not too busy that you couldn't relax. So many healthy options - I had the shrimp avocado toast, which was outstanding - and a good portion. My wife had the oatmeal which was a big serving, and tasty, just not too... More

We visited Alexandria for the first time today, and dropped in for a light lunch. The surroundings are pleasant, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We chose the turkey and avocado open sandwich, which was tasty. We really liked Le Pain Quotidien, but probably won't eat there again as we thought the food, though good, was overpriced.

I really like this restaurant and the food is very good. The service is usually pretty good. Love their lattes and their cocoa is to die for! Of coarse their bread (pain) is amazing as well as their desserts. I like that they have many healthy options. In the evening they have nice music playing in the background, which is... More

This is an excellent place for good pastries and a decent cup of coffee. The ambiance is nice, and there's room to sit down and relax (unlike the chain coffee shops).
