We gave Lamberts a try for dinner as a party of five. The experience was mixed. The wild boar ribs were excellent; the shrimp bisque arrived cool and needed to be sent back for warming. The pork ribs were quite good; the lamb was dry...More

Service was great. Food was delicious. Menu is interesting. Importantly, they take reservations. But this is more of a nice restaurant than a BBQ joint. It’s very good, but not as authentic as I’d hoped.

Lamberts Downtown Barbecue was recommended to us by the hotel concierge and at least three locals. We went there for a late dinner (9:00 PM reservation) as there was live music beginning at 10. Overall we could not have been more pleased. We were seated...More

First of all, Austin is a gem!! Lambert's is excellent! The staff, the food, the outdoor patio, which was a lovely private area made this anniversary trip very special! We probably spent close to three hours there and never felt hurried to order or leave....More

Walked past and my wife was keen to go in to follow the smell of burning wood. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the beer and wine recommendations of the guy serving. Our pulled pork with a wedge and ribs with mac and cheese...More

We arrived here for Sunday brunch. My choice was a chopped beef Frito pie topped with a poached eggs. The serving size and flavor was perfect.

Everything I ate here was excellent. The brisket wasn't the best, but all the other food was amazing. I particularly enjoyed the boar ribs. They had some hefty spice to them and the meat was delicious. The deviled eggs were also exceptionally good. The restaurant...More

The bar serves food during Happy Hour at half price. The service was excellent, the ribs were delicious, the drinks strong and the stuffed eggs are a winner! I would eat here again and again.

I now understand the mixed reviews of this restaurant. We were seated right away and had our waters refilled twice before I finally gave up and asked the hostess to grab our server. So kudos on prompt water refilling but definitely a negative that had...More

This was my first visit to Austin. A local on the plane told me I *must* try bbq while in town. Another local told me and a friend to go to Lambert’s. I have family that works in the bbq business on the east coast...More

Like Ray5000, I didn't see any, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. I don't go to restaurants to watch TV. Call Lambert's and ask them.
