Was in Austin for a conference and wanted BBQ. Lamberts was within walking distance of our hotel. It's very quaint, with a relaxed comfortable atmosphere. The servers very nice and service was excellent. We ordered a little of everything .... brisket, pulled pork, 'short' rib, mac n cheese, potato salad, beans, and brussel sprouts for our party of 6. This... More

Lamberts is located in downtown Austin and is housed in a historic stone building, which gives this restaurant a hefty - yet refined - dose of character. Lamberts does not sell itself as a "get down and dirty BBQ joint". Rather, it is clear from the outset that this is a restaurant where BBQ meets fine dining. With all of... More

Our first visit .. the roasted green chilli queso was very tasty. We had to try the 'three meat platter' to ensure a variety of tastes .. we opted for smoked brisket, chicken and jalepeno hot link. The meats were not served hot, and the best, by far, was the smoked brisket. The herb waffle fries were good, as was... More

The BBQ was very tasty, portions a little small. Its "upscale" Texan BBQ but the smoke is real. We had a tasty lunch of brisket. Yummy for sure. The frito pie, not on the menu, was great.

Lamberts is a barbecue place on West Second street in the heart of downtown Austin. It appeared on a list of go-to barbecue places I was given, so I decided to check it out. At lunch it was starting to fill up, and although I could have had a table I decided to sit at the bar. The congenial server... More

There was lots to like about this place. It's modern-ish, the booths are big and the staff friendly and attentive. The place isn't cheap, so you expect good food, which we got. Two minor complaints. First, even though we were a larger group of 6 spending lots of cocktails, wine and dinner, I repeatedly felt like we were being rushed... More

Online recommendations lead our group to Lamberts and it is did not disappoint. It's in an old Austin building. Nice detail to the overall theme. Casual but upscale. The wait staff wear linen aprons and the sauces are served in old style type bottles. There is a small stage for live intertainment upstairs. Smells heavenly upon walking in. The service... More

The food was good and the service was friendly but I wasn't wowed. I think I prefer the more casual open-air, sit at picnic table style of Texas BBQ where the food is half the price and just as good. For our meal at Lambert's, we all agreed that the brisket was our favorite, followed by the ribs. The chicken... More

We are staying at the downtown JW Marriot and had a short walk over to Lambert's. We walked up the stairs to a private party. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was great. Served buffet style, the brisket was particularly good. Multiple local beers on tap, I forget the names, I liked the lighter beers, my sons were drinking... More

One of the best BBQ spots in Austin. Didn't get to Franklin's because the line was too long. So went here and was super happy!
