Eastside Cafe is a gem on the east side of Austin. Locally grown produce adds to the delicious choices on the menu. We love farm to table restaurants and always seek them out when we travel.

Over the years we've been to Eastside Cafe for lunch many, many times but it has been a few years now since the last visit. I believe the management may have changed. I was really disappointed today. The pollo tortilla soup, which used to have avocado and chunks of chicken, today had no avocado; if there was chicken, I couldn't... More

My wife, daughter and I ate lunch at the Eastside Cafe in January, on a Thursday afternoon. I had the meatloaf, my wife had the Panko Chicken and I don't remember what my daughter ordered, but she loved it. Our meals were excellent, the salads fresh and the service was was good as you would want. We ate in the... More

For the last 20 years we have been going to the Eastside Cafe for lunch and it is still one of my favorite places when we are in Austin! The food is fresh and changes with the seasons and is consistently good. The setting in a private house adds to the atmosphere and the service is great too.

We went to Eastside with another couple for lunch. First visit for all of us. Altogether we had the beet salad, quesadillas, pot stickers, manicotti, and acorn squash. Highlights were the quesadillas and the acorn squash. Everything was fresh and high quality but flavors tended to be a bit bland. Also shared a bottle of Picpoul de Pinet which was... More

We ate hear for breakfast one morning. Their buttermilk pie was absolutely delicious. We were 3, and shared 3 plates. I couldn't tell you what they were, but they were all FANTASTIC. Perhaps one was huevos rancheros? Coffee was excellent for a diner-type place.

My daughter and I recently had dinner at Eastside Cafe, based on recommendations from both Yelp and Trip Advisor. It was cold and rainy, and we wanted to eat somewhere cozy. We arrived early, around 5:30 p.m., and there were plenty of tables available in its three dining areas in its converted bungalow. We were asked by the hostess if... More

First off the salad was great and had a wide variety of different dressings and sides. Secondly, the mushroom crepes are heaven! Overall great atmosphere and food.

This place has been here cooking up great food for quite a while- I've probably been coming for 20 years. I recently came here and was relieved that quality was still so good, and the place was largely unchanged. Good fish and vegetarian options, great fresh vegetables grown in their own organic garden. Well done!

Dinner with wife, son and his fiancé and her mother. Truly gorgeous venue. Love the feeling in this old house. Everything on the menu is excellent. The service is always five stars. Probably our tenth meal at East Side and we will continue to dine here as long as they are open. Compliments to everyone on staff here.
