Had breakfast and lunch here, both fantastic. Service was prompt and nice. Food was upscale, plenty of options. Pastries were delicious.

What an historical bakery and cafe! The old Ford van out the front grabbed my attention and lured me in! It didnt disappoint. The desserts on display looked very appetising. I got a peach cheesecake. Really enjoyed it- the perfect sized portion. Staff nice too.

Went there for breakfast twice during a recent business trip to Boston. Had the brisket hash one day and the huevos rancheros the next. Both dishes were well prepared . The service was decent and the coffee just fair. I'd go back.

The bloody mary is so good we went back the next day for another. You can sit at the counter and watch the pastry chefs through the glass. The cream danish is decadant and should not be missed.

Stopped in for a quick visit to the Driskill hotel and bite to eat - birthday cake style. The 1886 Signature Chocolate Cake did not disappoint!

The 1886 Cafe & Bakery is located inside the Driskill Hotel, one of the most beautiful and historic buildings in Austin. It's a great place to have lunch with friends, then you can explore the hotel. Don't miss the women's restroom - it's so beautiful!

Of course we wanted to experience the famous Driskill hotel and have lunch but it was a sub par experience. The dining room was closed so we were sat in the lobby. The food was good but the service was unfriendly slow and minimal. She...More
