A low key authentic Szechuan restaurant with an impressive menu that offers many local Szechuan specialties with plenty of options for people who don't like spicy food. We sampled several Szechuan dishes with beef, lamb, poultry and pork that were all very tasty. Service is sometimes challenging as I had the chase the waitress several times. This said, all requests... More

I decided to try this popular Austin Chinese restaurant and was impressed most by the salt and pepper fish! Not greasy at all, but was deep fried goodness -- full of flavors including a subtle hint of ginger. Very well done!

I have had lunch there about 7 times in almost two years and have never been disappointed. The choice is impressive, the portions are more than adequate. Although they feature Szechuan cuisine they offer plenty on non-Szechuan (i.e. not hot and spicy) dishes as well. The dumplings are a very satisfying appetizer. I have sampled beef, lamb, seafood, poultry (duck)... More

This is our go-to for NW Austin Chinese delivery... the Eggplant in garlic sauce is our absolute favorite thing! The restaurant isnt so great in atmosphere, but this is our favorite food for "on the couch".

Not the best, or even close to the best, Chinese place in Austin. People there don't really know what they're doing!

I can't eat spicy food and my chicken and broccoli was perfect! Nice brown sauce and delicious and tender white meat. Very generous portion. Huge tea pots which is nice too. Enjoyed the fact that music wasn't blasting and could talk to my dining partner! They have a decent selection of beer and wine also. Thank you!

Ordered take out. They came in an hour as promised. Food was okay. The steamed dumplings were good. Didn't like chicken in garlic sauce. Too much celery. We had ordered for the spicy version and I didn't find it spicy at all. If you like spicy food, specify that clearly.

The food was outstanding, but they were terribly disorganized and very under staffed. I would absolutely go here again on a different night of the year

Tried the won ton soup, which was good, but a cup was almost $3 and it was a tiny portion. Had some dumplings, which had a thick shell but the dipping sauce was good. Fried rice was wet and mushy and needed a lot of soy sauce added. There have got to be better places in Austin to get good... More

Our family visited this restaurant on the advice of a friend that loves small, strip mall places. Szechuan House offered good food overall with many non-Americanized Chinese dishes. However, we had an issue with debris floating in the water glasses, even after we asked for new drinks. The interior space was not especially clean either. The service pretty much finished... More
