We first tried El Naranjo several years ago for lunch not long after they opened. We were not impressed and did not return until last week, again for lunch. Mathew Odam had just touted it as his number 19 Austin restaurant. He obviously didn't eat...More

We're sorry to hear that the fried plantains didn't live up to your expectations, Roger. We value your opinion and understand that there are many variations of classic Mexican dishes like this one. That being said, we can assure you that our chef is also...More

This was an excellent recommendation from a friend! I’ve been to Austin many times and this will be a new fav! It irritates me the people who review, there were no enchiladas, refried beans and queso! This is not a TEXMEX. While I love me...More

After all the rave reviews I thought this would be a fantastic meal. However it was just average Mexican. Portion sizes OK, service was not great and prices were high for what it was. We expected so much more.
