I think very carefully before I write an average review but I feel that we wasted our money as our meal was so bland. We had chicken curry and Singapore Noodles and both were so tasteless that we threw them away. The noodles had large clumps of uncooked noodles. The chicken in the curry was tasteless. I am really sorry... More

We had a nice Asian dinner here with a friend at this restaurant that has recently changed its name to Simply Pho. The three of us split two dishes—a large bowl of pho with sliced beef and meatballs and a dish of Pad Thai. Both were good, but I’d advise not getting the meatballs. They were not at all what... We used to frequent this large, really pretty place when we lived in SW Austin and thought this to have some of the best Thai food in the area. We miss it!

I saw this place tucked away in a corner where there would be low traffic. I expected a small pho shop with only a few tables. It is actually a fair sized restaurant with a full bar. The menu is large as are the servings I saw. The prices seemed reasonable, sort of on the low side. Many offerings have... More

Four of us recently went to Blue Bamboo, which is now called Pho House, for dinner to introduce friends to Pho and Bun and coffee. The brisket pho was lovely, maybe the best in town. The bun was very tasty with very fresh vegetables and great special sauce. The coffee was superb. We saved most of it for the next... More

Wonderful food! We have been here several times and each time the food is fantastic! The wait staff....mediocre. Take a deep breath when you arrive as you'll have to wait longer than necessary for even things like water, but once the food arrives - heaven. You'll be glad you visited this place, but don't come in a hurry!!

Stumbled across this place while shopping in Bee Caves. Really good Thai food. Big portions. Mild hot was just right for me. I would recommend giving it a try. I had a rice dish with chicken, shrimp and beef and lots of veggies.

Consistently terrible and unattentive service. Food is good so. I always put up with the crappy service until last night when I served a drink with a lipstick print on the glass. The waiter tried to tell me it was detergent from the cleaning. !?!?!? I ask for a new glass and he pours the drink out of the dirty... More

Blue bamboo is a great spot for some good Thai food. The sizzling chicken never disappoints and the the thom kha soup is highly addictive! The chicken skewers are zesty and a good appetizer.

Either they've change cooks, suppliers or recipes--stuff isn't as good as it used to be. Kind of bland, rubbery and ho-hum. I agree with KrisPeanut, for the price you pay, not a nickle goes into ambience--and this place isn't cheap. The waitstaff seem like they should be working on 6th Street, not at all in line with the clientele.
