Phil's Ice House was one of those places you walk out of saying "I HAVE to visit this place again!" It's not fancy but the interior is pleasant. We were there when it was busy but the wait was not long. The food was fantastic as each family member bragged about how their burger was the best. I know there... More

Stoped by to get a late night bite. Went in and got a burger with cheddar and bacon and then added fries with it. Talk about hitting the spot. Want a quick bit to eat you cannot go wrong here.

We love a place that will help us entertain three kids. The food was great and the beer was cold. Their fountain drinks were also delicious and it was refreshing to try something new. We couldn't figure out which burger to try so the burger sampler helped give us a taste of them all.

Phil's offers some of the best burgers in Austin. Many people wait in long lines in the heat for a burger at Hopdoddy. I choose to skip that line and grab a delicious burger here. The 78704 Burger is outstanding - topped with monterey jack cheese, jalapeños, grilled onions, sliced avocado, and chipotle mayo on a toasted jalapeño cheese bun.

I had the Travis Heights burger. The meat was a little too done and a little dry. The bun was good. I didn't know that I had to ask for condiments and lettuce and tomato to be added. I also thought when they asked if I wanted regular fries, ordering the regular fries meant their mixed fries. So I got... More

It took forever to get our order. The hamburgers were undercooked. Thank goodness for Amy's ice cream playground next door to entertain our kids while we waited. Not a lot of seating.

My family went here today to try out someplace new and although the price was pretty steep for burgers and fries it tasted pretty darn good. And the burgers were large enough to satisfy. My wife and I each got a build a burger with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onions with an optional order of grilled onions on top of... More

We visited Phil's Ice House on S. Lamar to try something different. We have been to the Burnet Road location many times. While it was cleaner than the Phil's up north, my burger was dripping with grease and I had to dispose of half of the bacon as undercooked, thick ribbons of pure fat. Yes, you go to a place... More

Fun little place for burgers. Be sure and get the sweet potato fries, too! Has a great playground outside with tables for the kids to play before, during an after dinner.
