Party of 6, nobody enjoyed their food much. Steak tacos was burned cheese under a single piece of chewy meat on top of a soggy flour tortilla, flat and not fold-able. Drinks were small, chips were not fresh, tasted like commercial bagged chips. No salsa served unless requested, and no salt available. If you ask for salt, they bring back... More

After checking out the menu and some reviews I might have set the bar too high. My ceviche was quite good, as was the guacamole. But other dishes we had were average or only slightly better for the most part. I understand wanting to put your own twist on traditional favorites but if you change them too much then you... More

According to La Condesa's website, "La Condesa is an award-winning modern Mexican restaurant, nominated for a James Beard Foundation Award for ‘Best New Restaurant.". They lived up to the hype. We had the Guacamole sampler platter, the red snapper ceviche, the 3 day cooked mole sauce with chicken, interesting cocktails... All excellent. They have a tapas style of service.

Had lunch with a friend and was very, very impressed. We were there for lunch and were served quickly. We started with the guacamole and then shared orders of ceviche and four tacos. All had amazing taste. It is on the expensive side so be prepared to pay a little more. I thought it worth the premium.

This was not like any Mexican food I ever tasted. They tried to call it Mexico City food but I have friends from there and this was not what they cook. The portions were small and the meat was tough. The cheese was way over melted almost to the point of being burned. Wont bother going again but if you... More

The cuisine is what I would call upscale Mexican. It's probably wise to check the menu before eating here since it's not extensive. We got a variety of salsas which were pretty good. My chicken taquitos were pretty good as well.

Heard great things. Atmosphere was great. Service and food were average, at best. Unfortunately, didn't live up to the great reputation.

We were heading over to Lambert BBQ as we had one night only in Austin, no luck as waiting was 1,1/2hrs and with the BBQ smell hanging over you as you sat in the kitchen without a fan that wasn't an option. Opposite the street is La Condesa, so nice and I was happy to not get back with all... More

Cost is about what you'd expect for the quality and location. Ordered the chips with salsa and guacamole for $18, and since they were serving brunch at the time we came, we also had the chicken salad, the flautas and the huevos condesa. Everything was prepared perfectly - the huevos condesa had an awesome smoky saltiness to it, the flautas... More
