Yes you will see signs nearly 100 miles before you get here. Yes it is a tourist trap. Yeah it may be considered by some to be a bit pricey. Despite all of that however they do throw out some pretty tasty steaks. My filet was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth tender. Service was outstanding as well.... More

Food was generic with no flavor. Staff was sub par. Waitress would disappear, I finally had to get someone else to take care of us. The atmosphere was great but not worth the price. I could have fed my family twice at other places for their prices.

Worth the drive. The steaks, especially the ribeye, are excellent. The homemade dressings and sauces wonderful. The service fast and friendly. The carrot cake... get the carrot cake. If your to full take it to go. The slice is huge. My husband and I shared it. Half that night and half the next day. The Gelato also great. The salted... More

This place is really very crowded and very noisy but it's fun. It's not just a restaurant this is a whole experience. So go and check out the gift shop and shoot a few rounds at the arcade and enjoy a song by the wandering musicians (don't forget to tip them). You can even grab some gelato while you wait.... More

We have lived in the Amarillo area for about 2 years and have never visited the Big Texan, so we decided too before we left town. It was not as good as expected. I had the man vs food. Steak was over cooked, I gave the shrimp to my husband and he said they were frozen and not tasty. I... More

Fun place, casual dining, known for their steaks. Crowds can be large with long waits and this place is huge. Thanksgiving day 3:00 p.m. 1hr. 30 min. wait.

We were lucky enough to be seated on the balcony overlooking the "eating contest" below. The steaks were delicious. The services was excellent. We had such a great time, we went back the very next night.

It was our second time here and the first time was NOT a fluke. It really is amazing food and service. Shawna Lynn was so friendly, made recommendations and was accommodating when we asked for our Rib Eye to be cooked a little longer. That can be awkward in some places, but she handled it discreetly. The steaks are tender... More

Stopped by Thanksgiving morning around 9am, in route to Colorado. Arrived before any type of crowd.Found the scenery outside the restaurant fun and the gift shop intriguing. Our waitress was quiet and lacking of energy. The food was just average, nothing exciting. I had a breakfast plate, which included eggs, bacon(favorite part of the meal), sausage and biscuits w/gravy. Just... More

This is definitely at tourist hot spot, know for its 72oz free steak (if you can eat it in an hour) It's actually a pretty fun place, lots to see. Nothing fancy, just good food. Our dinner was right around $50 with tip for 2 people, it was more food than we could eat. After dinner we stopped at the... More
