Good place to walk to downtown. Love the waitresses. Food can be inconsistent, but usually solid. Cheese fries are great. Will put you in a coma. Grilled cheese cheeseburger is stupid. Try it!!!!

Loved the setting, service and food. Located in the old downtown part of Amarillo, where the scene is more laid back nostalgic.

Great, fresh-grilled burgers and good green chili cheese fries. Service is always good. Worth a stop when in downtown Amarillo! Good vibe in an old historic building with old historic photos all around paying homage to vintage Polk St. etc...

Enjoyed our group lunch, I had the Frito Pie which was very tasty. My friends had burgers which looked good and they said they were. Good patio atmosphere. Parking was no problem.

This bar is downtown and it's a funky neighborhood at night, but seemed safe. The place is a bar, primarily, rather than a restaurant but the food and service were quite good. The salads were surprisingly large. The pretzel bread is hot and tasty but unnecessarily greasy. Tell them to omit the butter and definitely omit the cheese sauce, which... More

The Burger Bar is a quaint but modern burger restaurant in downtown Amarillo. Parking was easy to get, food was FANTASTIC, service was great! We each got a burger and shared a large fry...the burgers were huge and the fries were amazing! I can't say enough good about The Burger Bar!

It took way too long to get our food. The burgers were very good, but order your fries without salt and salt them yourself. We could barely eat them as they were loaded with salt. I felt it was a little pricey for just a burger place.

Stopped for lunch on family trip to Mexico. I had the green chile hamburger. Excellent, fresh ground hamburger, great chiles. The wife had chicken quesadilla salad. She inhaled it. Son had fresh made corn dog. All in all great place, great food, friendly service. Would have given five stars except bathroom was a little on dirty side.

There are good choices of other items if someone in the group doesn't want a burger. We can recommend their burgers, though. Our server was pleasant. We received our appetizer (fried pickles) quickly and also our meals. There is a good beer choice and a full bar.

We stopped in for dinner the other night and had a great time. The service was on par. They were friendly and happy to recommend dishes. The deep fried Jalapeno's were great. Just the right amount of spice. The BBQ Chicken on Texas toast was amazing. The BBQ sauce was tangy and a great accompaniment to the dish.
