We are very familiar with London and the food. We live near this pub/restaurant, but had only gone for drinks. Since we will be going back to the UK soon for an extended trip, we decided to give the food a try. Very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was the most authentic I've had in... More

Those that had Fish n Chips were pleased. Not sure about the Rueben or the other choices. The fish was light and batter tasty, but the fries were disappointedly oily. That was it... I guess the London way is no slaw or pickle or side salad. Have them bring two tartar sauces from the get-go. Very nice atmosphere.

I was traveling with a British coworker who wanted to try an English pub in the USA so we wandered down from out hotel for dinner our first evening in town. He tried the beef and mushroom pie and raved both about the flavor and portion size. I had the fish and chips (with a one piece of fish option... More

This place was near our hotel and we thought we'd try it. We went on a Friday evening about 5 or 6, so that might have been why it was crowded. It took a long time to get someone to come to our table, but our waitress was nice. I liked the mixture of pub, British, and Indian cuisine. I... More

Very authentic style pub, old phone box, lots of beams, posters etc inside. Extensive menu for pub grub, bangers and mash, bubble and squeak, shepherds pie and various Indian offerings. I had the Indian pita bread dish with chips and hubby had the grown up Mac and cheese. Great selection of beers, my only suggestion would be to add to... More

Although we went in a not drinking hour of the day, very early, we enjoyed good sandwiches. Maybe not really a British flavoring, more like American greasy food. But at the end, good food. Decorating invites to drink definitely.

With soccer on multiple TVs and dozens of types of beers, this place was fun. Interestingly, food was fantastic for a bar. Shepherd's Pie a must!
