Saffron is a storefront Asian eatery on Butler, the central street in Ambler. Up the next block is the wonderful indie cinema. I had a tasty appetizer, one from a nice selection of Indian finger food.

We've been there perhaps 20 times since they opened. And will be back.' Go for their specials - typically delicious and not found elsewhere. Always a place where we meet neighbors and have a fun time. One of our go-to places in Ambler.

This is our go-to BYOB in Ambler often before a wonderful indie film at the Ambler Movie Theater down the street. Great Indian food - the sauces are excellent (and not super spicy). Appetizer favorites include Onion Bhajia, Samosa Chaat, the Garlic Naan (yum!), Ghobi Aloo - We're addicted to the Chicken Tikka Massala and the Korma sauces are great.... More

Went with friends after a movie. We shared Papri Chaat which is very good. We followed that with Chicken Tika Masala (love that), Chicken Korma and Chicken Saag. (I would have ordered lamb but one of our group doesn't eat lamb) I hadn't tried the Korma but really liked the sauce it came in. Creamy and lots of flavor. The... More

Wonderful staff helpful in explaining what each dish's main taste focus is, unexpectedly tremendous diversity of taste options, freshly prepared items (local when possible) ... just so darned comfortable and great flavors .... can't wait to go back again and learn more

We have enjoyed eating in this cozy restaurant. This time we picked up and brought home for the family. You can also have it delivered by Uber Eats. All was timely, warm, fresh and delicious. Their nan is the best we've had. Other favorites are Chicken Tika Masala and the Lamb Vindaloo.

Had lunch here recently with colleagues - my first visit. Rather pleased that they offer a lunch menu rather than the ubiquitous buffet which can be too much of a temptation to overindulge. Food was authentic, servings generous and the daal was exceptionally good. Look forward to returning to try another selection.

I'm not the biggest fan of Indian food, but my kids love it. I've been to many Indian restaurants and this was the first one that I actually enjoyed the dinner. All 4 of us thought our dinners were very good.

Reading some of the other reviews I can't help wondering if we came here on a bad night? The appetizers and entrees we ordered were nearly tasteless-- everything needed salt and spice-- meat was tough, and appetizers were lukewarm. Service was lackluster-- we had to ask for water about 3 times, and our servers were a bit sullen. The place... More
