While visiting Ashland a couple of friends and I went to the Peerless. It had me at the new menu with so many gluten-free choices! We had sazeracs and shared small plates and I highly recommend the poke lettuce cups. Oh my! The decor is stunning throughout, even the ladies room. This gluten-.free girl can hardly wait to come back... More

A bit off the main drag, this is a really great restaurant. The food is excellent, service attentive and friendly, and the ambiance cozy. Parking is on the street but because it's on the edge of a residential neighborhood, there is no problem finding a place. Presentations are attractive and the clientele eclectic, allowing this establish to fit well into... More

This was a great place to celebrate a special day such as a 21st birthday. The ambiance and food were perfect.

If you're lucky enough to visit Ashland, a jewel of a town, don't miss Peerless Restaurant and Bar. Lots of places claim to have atmosphere. This one actually DOES have it, and you'll feel it settle around you like a cozy wrap on a rainy day the second you walk in. Make reservations because this place is popular--usually filled to... We got a recommendation to come here, and we're glad we did. We just had happy hour plates and drinks. The best sliders ever. Crispy bun not too big, perfectly cooked meat. Also had seared Ahi, and crab cakes, which were both very very good. Personable waitress, nice atmosphere.

The French onion soup is almost as good as it was when David ran the kitchen at Chateaulin (gone now). The crab cakes were the size of ping pong balls, not what I was expecting. The service however was great. Knowledgeable, helpful, thoughtful and friendly. The menu is modern and the decor is comfortable. It just isn't what I'm looking... More

Dear Linda, We are very fortunate to have Executive Chef David Taub at the helm. As co-owner of Chateaulin for over 30 years he set the standard by which all Ashland restaurants were measured. I realize that it is impossible for a restaurant to be everyone's cup of tea and I appreciate you dining with us. Thank you for your... More

Scallops were the special-perfecrly prepared and seasoned. My date had pork cheeks-tender and flavorful. Don't miss this boutique restaurant.

The waiters were attentive and lovely, and very knowledgeable. I have dietary restrictions that often make things difficult, and they worked around them happily and without judgement. The food was truly exceptional. The whole experience was incredibly delicious. In short it was absolutely everything a night out should be!

We had a nice meal before Twelfth Night. It's a short drive from the Shakespeare Festival. The food was good, although they had run out of their best salad by 6pm, so that was weird. It was probably a bit more expensive than i would have expected, and the service was kind of in-and-out of focus, so we had to... More

I came here with my husband and two other couples. We sat in the outdoor space, a roomy, very pleasant spot with tables looking out over the back lawn. I started with a cold corn and lobster soup- delicious- and my husband had lobster potato skins that were very rich but very tasty. For my main I opted for the... More
