Sooo we keep coming back here hoping to have the same awesome pizza experience we had on our first visit. But I'm now realizing that simply is not possible, at least not until a different cook is employed. This last time, I requested that the...More

Our party of three enjoyed a nice dinner and evening again at Pescaro. Service good, people friendly, food outstanding. Shrimp ravioli, chicken marsala, and clam linguine excellent. Healthy portions. Usually take some home.

On Sunday, July 15th, my husband and I were desperately seeking a decent place for dinner after finding failures at two other Atlantic Beach establishments. It was between 8:30 and 9:00 when we arrived and we were warmly greeted and offered a table. Our waitress...More

This restaurant is a nice change from the fried fish fare of so many other established local restaurants. The food can be expensive but there are some nice pizza options as well. On our third visit recently we had a service issue that affected our...More

Visited last night w 6 family members. My entree of eggplant parmesan was so bland and unappealing that I would have sent it back we're it not for my in-laws, who would have been embarrassed by the situation. It's possible that the chef that night...More

We went looking for seafood prepared Italian style. The off menu special was black sea bass (2 inch cube) and 2 nice-sized scallops over risotto. This was tasty and well prepared though I would prefer the seared scallops to not be near raw in the...More

Overall excellent, 4.5. A few things, I would suggest- make sure your pasta is cooked. I had the Chicken Parm with two breasts and on top of homemade pasta. The pasta was under done not a bad thing- it was still great, but some of...More

Description
Pescara is a Coastal Italian restaurant located on the Atlantic Beach Circle. We feature traditional Italian ingredients and preparations-including a wood-fired oven-as well as produce and seafood sourced from local farmers and fishermen. Our menu is more in keeping with what you may find at a seaside café in Italy than what you would see at an American chain Italian restaurant (not that there's anything wrong with chain Italian restaurants, we're just a bit different-our lasagna has crab in it). Our menu can be approached many different ways. If you want to have a traditional multi-course Italian meal with antipasti, pasta and a main course, bring an appetite and we'll serve it up. But, if you and a large group of friends and family would rather share several small plates and a carafe of house wine, we'd love to have you. Similarly, if you just want a wood-fired pizza and a cold beer at the end of a day on the beach, we've got a bar stool with your name on it. Most of the wines on our list are Italian and show the wide range of styles produced in Italy, including some great values from less-familiar wine regions. We also carry some great selections from California and other popular regions. We have a full bar and a cocktail list containing a few classic cocktails as well as some re-imagined classics with a slight Italian twist. Our restaurant is located in the second oldest cottage in Atlantic Beach with both indoor, outdoor and bar seating.
