This is one of the smaller restaurants at the NC Zoo and it's located in the Akiba Market Place just up the hill and to your left when you enter through the Africa Continent. Limited seating but usually not as crowded as food outlets in the center of the zoo at Junction Plaza. Great place for a cup of coffee... More

The Cafe has sandwiches and burgers that make it a good place for lunch. Lots of seating and the lines were not that long.

While expensive we also expected it, we were at the zoo! Suprisingly though the food was very good and we all enjoyed our selection. Long line but quick to serve us and food was fresh and hot!

Amazing enough the food was not your typical amusement part pre-made sandwiches. Our sandwiches were made when we ordered them. The soft serve ice cream in the waffle cones was refreshing after a long day of walking

We got the wraps for lunch and they tasted very good. The cafe was clean and the staff friendly. The prices were reasonable for a location like this at a major attraction.

Nice little cafe - you can sit outside. Nice variety of fresh sandwiches and fruit cups, etc... A nice quiet part of the Zoo....

Was a bit afraid of the wasps flying around but that's probably just me. Also did not like the fact that there was not a sign telling people not to feed the squirrel as everyone was feeding it the junk they were eating from chips to chicken! But liked being able to catch something to eat before exploring Africa!

Along with the average zoo the Crocodile Cafe didn't offer much in terms of food offerings. The food is mostly frozen and reheated and greasy. We ordered a macaroni kids' meal and the macaroni was microwave quality, the drink was sugary juice and a package of cookies. The chicken strip basket was not particularly good and the fries were over... More

This is one of the little dining areas in the NC Zoo. The Black Bean Burgers were tasty and my hubby had the chicken basket. Fries were hot and crisp, the ladies were very friendly and helpful. Small inside dining area and larger outside cafe. Typically pricy but over all not a bad value.
