Probably the best Vietnamese food in KL. Good tasty dishes, nice atmosphere and great service. Definitely on my recommended list.

I've been visiting Sao Nam for years. Selfish as it sounds, I tried to keep it a secret since I'm not a particular fan of being a mosquito bait while waiting for a table. That's what happened this past weekend and figured it got featured...More
We visited on a stormy night, so it was pretty quiet (my brother had been previously when it had been very busy). A good range of food, quickly cooked and very tasty. Pleasant service and not obtrusive.
(This is probably closer to 4.5 stars to me.) Sao Nam's food serves dishes with outstanding flavors. It's also a very pretty restaurant that made me think of wine "caves" in Europe, with the colors and materials. And the staff is friendly and patient. But...More
Having read much about the eateries based in/around Jalan Alor we were heading in that direction when we happened to bump in to a well-known French Chef who owned two restaurants in KL. In conversation he recommended Sao Nam as 'one of the two best...More
Sao Nam has long been a favourite place to visit for expats. The must tries are their pomelo and mangosteen salads when in season. There's a dining room upstairs that is a good location for private events. The location is pretty convenient near Changkat Bukit...More
Tq for your recommendation of our mangosteen salad and our pomelo salad and bring to awareness about dinning area upstairs. We are not sure why some may think our cuisine does not go well with beer. Our crusine is rather mild to the taste bud...More
Although our party of five spent RM361 at this restaurant there was no standout dish. The Pho was ordinary and the pancake a bit overwhelming. OK the fish curry was good and we loved the deep fried spring rolls. But overall nothing that would make...More
We are glad that you and your group enjoyed fish curry and pan fried spring rolls out five main dishes. We are sorry that the rest of dishes did not impress you. we are happy to you like our service.
Plenty of promise at this well situated and decorated restaurant. It's won plenty of prizes but the food was a bit underwhelming. Our party of five loved the deep fried spring rolls (RM22) and fish curry (RM38) but the duck in tamarind sauce was nothing...More
We are very proud of the many awards given to us both here and abroad almost yearly. It is nice to know that our chefs have been given many compliments from both from our clientele, professional chefs both local and abroad and we have been...More
This was our first visit to Sao Nam but it won't be our last. We arrived on a Saturday evening without a booking so we were lucky to get a table. Parking in the area can be problematic as it is close to Jalan Alor...More
Tq for the great review that more or less sum up our food , service and dinning environment . We hope to see you again
I had some friends from Canada visiting Malaysia for the first time and as it was raining that night, I decided to take them somewhere inside (originally going to Jalan Alor). My gf recommended this place and said it was good, so we gave it...More
