This restaurant combines Japanese ingredients with western style cooking with delicious results. You can't go wrong here as the chef uses a lot of seasonal Japanese ingredients from many different regions. The wine pairing was also very interesting with alot of variety from different parts of the world. The wait staff were very attentive and did an admirable job describing... More

My one and only experience with Fujiya 1935 was certainly well worth waiting for. When I originally called for a reservation, I had to reserve about 45 days into the future as they are very busy. After much anticipation, the restaurant lived up to everything I had previously heard about it. Firstly, we were seated in a "lobby" and served... More

I came to have lunch at Fujiya because it's very famous she got two Michelin stars. I booked a table here one month in advance and today is their first opening day of 2017. Personally, I think this restaurant is kinda hit and miss. Some dishes were extremely great and some were uneatable. Truffle bread, burdock sauce pasta were amazing... More

Fujiya 1935 manages to combine perfect yet informal service, an elegant but not overly fussy environment, and top-notch European-style cuisine with Japanese ingredients and influences. There were 14 courses in all in a (single) set menu. Our favorites were Rosy Seabass in a chrysanthemum beurre blanc and Hokkaido Venison in persimmon sauce. After all those courses, we did not feel... More

Fujiya 1935 is deserving of its reputation and awards (top 50 in the world, 3 star michelin, etc.). The lunch is an incredible deal at ~$85 USD for a 3 hour multi-course meal that certainly rates as one of the world's best food. It isn't at all resembling traditional Spanish or European cuisine. This is it's only thing -- not... More

Most satisfactory lunch ever had in Osaka. Didn't regret a bit about the price pay; go for the food with wine pairing if you can. This place should deserved 3 Michelin stars ; not two.

We made sure we took a reservation for this place as we were looking forward to coming here. Loved the cuisine here, they use very fresh seasonal vegetables and all the meats and seafood are sourced locally. Loved the Spaghettini of Crab, beans and mimoretto. Really good winelist.

I went for lunch and had no idea what was on the menu. It was an amazing experience. All the dishes were delicious. The presentation of each dish was unique and creative. The staff spoke little English but tried their best to explain what each dish consists of. The service can be slow at times. Lunch was about 2 hours... More

Before coming to Japan - I was researching places to try that are 3 Michelin stars. From reading the reviews, I decided to try Fujiya 1935. Atmosphere - Very minimalistic decor, mid century style furniture. Limited seating, so reservations is a must. Make sure you have 3 hours for dinner. Service - Hostess was great, servers were good - they... More
