Stopped by to get a pack or takoyaki on the way to Dotonburi from Namba. Delicious and easy to eat even after having dinner. It wasn't busy out front when we stopped by so it was really fast to get a serving.

I went to Nanba in Osaka. I wanted to really eat Takoyaki. I went to a store that was introduced to the local people. It name is Wanaka. It's sooooooo delicious!!! The outside is firmly baked, inside is too soft. If you come to Osaka then please try it!!!!

Osaka's takoyaki are mushy on the inside and crispy outside. I tried two other shops but find I like Wanaka's takoyaki the most. This main shop has seating area at the back and first floor. I went there around 6pm and only queue for a minute. The takoyaki are freshly made, so it's very hot. Best shared with family and... More

This is the place to try Osaka street food takoyaki, octopus dumpling, served with pickled ginger, topped with savoury sauce, powdered aonori (seaweed), mayo, bonito flakes and usually eaten with toothpicks. Good stuff to eat with beer. Don't forget there's some seating in another part of the restaurant behind the griddles. We were there at night time so didn't have... More

Look carefully at the pictures, the name of the place is not written in English. Service is very quick, but no explanation of what is available. Seating is available but limited. Food was delicious, very glad I tried it.

There was a queue when we arrived. But it moves really quickly. There is also a seating area at the back. Food is really good!

If you go in the morning when the shop is just open, it wasn't that long que to wait. I even had a table to eat there too. The takoyaki is delicious and hot and chewy, nice to eat in cold weather.

Came here after lunch and there was a long queue - good sign. I had the combination pack - four different flavours/toppings. Very interesting - some sweet, some salty and some creamy (mayo sauce). The octopus was chewy and fresh. I'm not usually a big fan of takoyaki but I could tell that it was good.

Brief wait, but there's a reason there's a line, it's so good!! Grab some takoyaki and a beer, head towards the back and sit upstairs near the window so you can watch the hustle and bustle of the market below. This little shop is awesome, fast, and おいしい!

The only taco ball restaurant with a queue in Namba. There are many sets to order but we prefer the one with 2 taco balls squashed between two prawn wafers. Taco balls are very hot so be careful. They are crunchy on the outside and smooth and savory on the inside. Even the wafer is tasty. Only yen100 for this.

WANAKA was known as a traditional sweet shop among neighborhood children in Sennichimae area in Osaka. It has become our root of our current as 'Takoyaki' we started to make Takoyaki in front of the shop. Afterward, we quitted working as a traditional sweet shop, and started `Wanaka` as Takoyaki shop. As we moved to the current place of our shop from Nanba Hanatsuki, it became really bright and breezy, so soon it was known to celebrities and travelers. History 1961 Wanaka is renewed as Traditional sweets shop after Sushi shop at Sennichimae 1986 Wanaka head shop is opened at Sennichimae
