Not a bad place. service is good and very cheap for lunch. Unfortunately it wasn't a place that I would rush back too. Not that there were any issues, there was just nothing to seperate this from the other places I had been too. Would go there if I was walking past but wouldn't plan my day around it.

Good sushi on the go. It's nice that you know what you are taking before you grab it. They have some exotic stuff

Good variety of dishes, lines are not too long (we initially wanted to go to Chojiro but the lines were too long and the prizes a bit too high). Didnt really worry about racking a high bill with this so we went crazy with the sushi!

The portion size is great to allow for an economical way to taste many different types of very good Sushi. The atmosphere is always friendly and service is efficient and welcoming.

Conveyor belt sushi at a reasonable price! They have a great system going here as well where the same type of sushi is generally grouped together and preceded by a sign explaining the kind of sushi it is. We had our fill of sushi and enjoyed our meal tremendously! If there's one gripe we had about the place, it was... More

Fun, cheap and cheerful place to try a variety of sushi. Green tea on tap and lots of different stuff, including grilled corn sushi and candied sweet potato.

Very good conveyor belt sushi, good variety, very fresh as your would expect. Beer was very cold, and the hot water for tea was spot on. Price/value is excellent, one of the best we could find during our trip. Ended up eating there two days during our 5 day stay in the city. Highly recommended!

If you like sushi and travel in a budget, you shouldn't miss this conveyor-belt sushi ("Kaiten-Sushi) restaurant. You will probably need to queue, but it will be a short wait as they are really quick in moving customers. Sushi prices range from 140 and 340 Yen, depending on the colour of the dish. The green tea is included and free... More

This was so fun, even if it's as just people watching. The night before we ahead been to Chojiro which seemed to have only tourists. Musashi had locals - old men eating alone, two school girls after shopping, an old lady in a wild hat , and a lot of locals. The young guy who sat next to us downed... More

Fun spot to stop for a "round" of sushi served a la conveyor belt. Don't see what you want? Just ask, or use the universal language of pointing at signs. Not the best sushi you'll ever have but the fun factor makes up for it.

Staying in Shinkyogoku Shopping District

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinkyogoku Shopping District
Those who delight in shopping and cuisine will find themselves at home in Shinkyogoku. Lauded and visited by locals for its Nishiki Market, where baskets of fragrant spices, dried fish, and just-fried foods are piled high along the snaking streets of its enclosed outdoor shopping spaces, Shinkyogoku is not only a hub for fresh fare, but also for fast fashion fixes. Trends-in-the-making can be spotted in the tall windows of several one-of-a-kind stores featuring local labels and modish boutiques. Arcades, outdoor concert spaces, mega department stores, and small, enchanting cafes have sprung up to accommodate the increasing traffic. Whether looking for souvenirs and kitsch on Shinkyogoku Street, or scoping out the massive food court and restaurant floor at Takashimaya Department store, there's something for every wallet or purse, and a buyer for every item.
