Gion Karyo was a fantastic experience for my parents on their first trip to Japan. The service was faultless and the food prepared with care. The lunch menu was great value.

A very nice cosy restaurant that serves good Kaiseki. Service is good and so is their fresh seafood. Recommended.

Traditional Japanese kaiseki multi course meal served expertly by a team of chefs at this Gion restaurant. The dishes were beautifully presented and offered a variety of complex and delicious fish, soup, and vegetable offerings. Service is very good but not particularly warm.

Knowing the crowd in Gion is just like a flowing rive during cherry blossom season, we made a reservation through a oversea phone call in advance. The dining atmosphere is tranquil since every table is private, keeping a safe distance from the other tables. The...More
