Stumbled on this place after a long walk around gardens and temples. We had no idea about what we ate but the vibe was calm and view lovely. Way too much food, lovely tofu but we wished we had ordered sides for one of us...More

Situated near Nanzenji, at the tail end of the Philosopher’s Path, we chanced upon this restaurant after a morning of temple hopping. We took the Hana/花 set (¥3000), which turned out to be a huge amount of tofu! No complaints though, this was probably some...More

Had a yuba dinner course with a friend of mine. Yes the service was fine, and yuba was probably the best yuba I've ever had. Good price for what you get. However, I probably won't visit again, unless it's my company's first time visiting Kyoto...More

First time experience with a vegetarian, largely tofu menu. Wanted something tasty and not heavy for lunch and this fit the bill. Enjoyed each of the dishes. Very nice setting and attentive staff. Highly recommended!

We booked Yuba Kaiseki Dinner course. It was presented beautifully in a great setting. However, my family is not a fan with the food. We love other Japanese food: sushi, sashimi, ramen, rice bowl...but not Yuba Kaiseki...unfortunately.

No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its

bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to
peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home

is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and

When I went, I was in a group, but I think the price is for the meal and the grounds were free to walk round. Hope this helps, Robin.
