Conveyor belt allows you to preview before you choose. No language difficulties since you help yourself. Great entertainment for kids since they can watch it being made. Very quick eating.

It was indeed quite cheap, but it didn't offer a vast variety of fish and the fish wasn't as good as other cheap sushi restaurants you could find. It's worth it if you want a quick conveyer belt sushi in kyoto station, but if you have to do a line up to go in, id recommend looking else where and... More

Visited this place after a full day in Kyoto seeing the sights. Being within the Station, it was well placed for hungry tourists to dine in before heading back to Osaka or wherever. I ate around 10 plates of sushi, costing around $20 AUD minus tax...well worth it in my opinion. The food was fresh, tasty and most of all,... More

Went to this restaurant at Kyoto station on a Sunday evening around 5pm and there was a small queue. Service is good and food quality as well!! They don't just have the classic Sushi but also some other varieties with meat and vegetables, very delicious! Recommended!! We paid for 2 people around ¥3.500 yen including drinks.

If you a big fan of sushi, then i guess you should visit this restaurant whenever you ever have a chance to visit Kyoto. The restaurant as far as i know has so many restaurants. But in Kyoto i know that this was located in Shin Kyogoku and Kyoto Station. Just find Shinkansen Hachijo Exit then turn left. You will... More

It's really easy. There's basically 3 plates but 2 prices, either 146 or 349. 2 plates at 146 but one color coded with wasabi and the other without wasabi. Plates of the same dishes are also put together and labeled so you know what you are eating which is really good. Ginger, sauces and green tea free on the counter.... More

Good sushi. Far better than we get in London. Hardly any tourists and everyone seemed to be either local or passing through. Good selection of sushi. Decent quality. We had lots to eat for under 2500 yen. We had to wait in a queue for about ten minutes but I didn't mind that.

I went there twice for dinner and once for lunch before leaving town. The quality of sushi and its value is amazing! The place is located within the main station and it is ideal for dinner when coming back at night and for lunch before heading to another city. The interactions among the staff is an attraction in itself. I... More

Nothing fancy but the only rotating sushi place in the station. Long lines bc it's cheap, not bc the food will blow your mind. IMO I'd skip the lines and go to another restaurant.

Staying in Southern Kyoto

Neighbourhood Profile
Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
