Delicious. Friendly. Lots of variety. Good quality. We loved the shrimp tempura, the domestic yuna, and the salmon and the eel. We went back twice!

I love a bit of kaiten sushi. Mushashi offers good sushi at reasonable prices. There's usually a fair amount of choice. Although, on our visit, they seemed to be short of salmon nigiri. We queued for about 10 minutes, which isn't too bad based on...previous visits. It was a great meal and experience as usual.More
Was looking for somewhere for a quick bite to eat after a train journey and saw a small queue outside Musashi. Was so pleased we decided to give it a go. Delicious, fresh and tasty sushi in a relaxed atmosphere and with superb service. They...were very accommodating to our young son, making him wasabi-free options. Enjoyed it so much that we ensured we had a return visit before our short Kyoto trip came to an end. Wish we had a sushi restaurant this good at a UK train station!More
This place has many fresh and value for money sushi . Good for a quick fix meal . Tourist friendly and clean. We came with many friends and we enjoy the place for a easy and affordable meal
This is our second sushi restaurant when we arrived in Kyoto. The prices were very reasonable and even cheaper than in Makati, Philippines. I'm glad we decided to have lunch here rather than at Nidhiki Market, where the prices were slightly higher. I highly recommend...this place.More
Went there as we wanted to try a conveyer belt sushi. Great choice and you can order sushsi without wasabi. However, the quality is not top, lacking in taste and some of the plates seemed to have been hanging around for some time. Will not...recommend it.More
Ate four times in this lively, friendly and yummy sushi place. Our favorite restaurant in Kyoto. Also has good take-aways for the train ride.
Really love the affordable prices and its great that you can get many varieties of sushi at the cheapest sushi plate price. The sushi chefs were busy topping up the sushi plates and definitely 1 of my favourite sushi places in Japan now. I was...there at about 3pm and had to wait for about 5pple in line (which wasnt so bad)More
Swift and fun conveyor belt sushi bar. Lots of selection from raw fish to grilled corn. Plates are color coded for price and for “with and without wasabi”. No matter what your level of sushi adventurer, you’ll find something to satisfy your food cravings. Convenient...location in the Kyoto Station. Worth going to more than once as the selection varies.More
We came for an early dinner twice during our stay and didn’t experience a line up at all. What a fun experience choosing our plates as they passed by on the conveyor belt. You serve yourself green tea and the plates are tallied once you...are done. As a vegetarian I found enough choices : grilled corn, potatoes, cucumber and tofu. I asked one chef for some more and he prepared it! My daughter loved the tuna and salmon and shrimp.its convenient and fast!More
We had to wait in a long line to get in. But it was worth it. Great sushi, nice choice, and reasonable prices. Must come back :)
We arrived in the mid-afternoon after checking into our hotel for a late lunch and got seated right away. But walking past later in the evening there was a huge queue out the front door. Just make sure you try this place. The sushi is...fresh and so tasty. You won’t be disappointed.More
I arrived at 6.15pm on a Monday night - was quite a big line - ended up taking about an hour to be seated. This would be my only criticism - they need to get a better system of seating people as you could see...the odd vacant chair and they should be asking if there are any singles (such as I was) to fill the vacant spot. Would certainly speed the line up a bit more. The offering on the sushi train was significantly better than anything that we can get back in Australia. The sushi rice under each of the offerings was a bit smaller than I am used to, which was great as it allowed the flavour of the fresh seafood to shine through more. Most of the plates are 164 yen each (and you get two pieces of sushi on each plate) and the more expensive plates are about 350 yen and 450 yen (like bluefin tuna - two pieces). The sushi is essentially all raw (which I love) and save for the odd piece of tempura, egg roll, nigiri and pork cutlet, don’t expect the usual western style sushi rolls (California roll et al). It all tasted remarkable - jumping right off the plate is was so fresh and given the amount of people nothing on the sushi train is there for long. Very cheap option, on the outer edge of the southern part of Kyoto station - a great place to visit for budget travellers.More
This is a very good place to have a late breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Sushi ist fresh, super tasty and everybody is nice and polite. We went there 3 times in 2 days :D even for take away 👌🏽 Again, anytime! Yummi....
We were loyal customers to this sushi restaurant despite that customers need to queue for at least 15 minutes prior to securing their seats inside. After 7.30pm, the queue would be longer but the quality and price of the sushi there were attractive to customers....Highly recommended.More
