The waiter clearly is not a happy person which is very rare in China, usually they are very friendly. Had to ask to be serviced and took 10 mins more for him to bring out a terrible latte, the worst we have ever tasted in the world.

Our guide recommended Rosemary's Cafe (called MiDieXiang on this site) to us when we mentioned we were tired of Chinese food. We had been in China for over 2 weeks and at this point and were craving something different. We ordered the shepherds pie and lasagna based on trip advisor reviews and really enjoyed them both. We would have gone... More

Rosemary's Café was exactly what we needed after travelling four weeks in China. An atmospheric traveller café where you can meet other travellers and expats, read, relax and get the hottest insider tipps. And of course a selection of cool (chinese and western) beer, drinks and juices and delicious food. We went there three times, had salad, pizza and burrito... More

The atmosphere was great, the service as well. I ordered a Heineken and a pizza with everything. I wasn't expecting any miracles, aware that getting western food in China can be tricky. BUT I have read so many raving reviews about this place! It is mentioned in Lonely Planet and on VisitGuilin website so I was expecting something more than... More

We went there as this place has good reviews (old reviews though). I am rating this place terrible because the Chinese food we ordered was disgusting! The sweet and sour pork had sauce that was out of a bottle and the chicken was like a breaded chicken burger patty cut into little pieces (kind of awful schnitzel, see pictures). I... More

We chose to eat here as our hotel recommended it. We ordered an Indian curry - came as rice slop flavoured with Keens - and chicken rice - very very dry. People around us though were eating tempting dishes. Choose a table carefully too as the tables are very short and your legs can get stuck. Cheap though - just... More

My tour guide took me here because it had vegetarian food. I was happy about that. There weren't many veggie choices but enough to satisfy me. I had a coffee and a pizza. The pizza was on french bread crust which isn't my favorite but was still done well. The restaurant is on the pedestrian walking street. Good location. It's... More

Had a 24 oz Ting Tao beer and a tuna here with frays for 55 yuan, you know what it was just what I wanted. Sat outside and beer was very cold

Some interesting western food choices such as burritos, shepherds' pie, pork cordon bleu. I have tried many dishes and the best is the pie, the rest are below average. Beer is not so cold and there is no draft beer here. It's a nice place where many expats visit however they still have lot of room for improvement.

This restaurant offers Chinese and European meals - the latter choices made a nice change and were good.
